McCartney picked up a lot of vocal techniques from Little Richard. The Beatles were huge fans of Little Richard, so when he was touring Germany in 1962, they had their manager arrange for them to perform as an opening act for him. Richard often referred to McCartney as his brother.

I grew up with the Beatles music & had most of their records. They were part of the British Invasion. You can't go wrong with any of their music. They had so many great songs in the 60's-70's. "Hey Jude" is a great song written by Paul McCartney to comfort Julian Lennon when his parents separated.

Yes, this sounds exactly the same as the vintage vinyl I listened to decades ago. Remastering just involves cleaning up the audio and releasing tracks that are at a higher digital resolution to get them closer to analogue quality. This is not a remix, or any type of re-recording. It's the original tracks, original recording, original mix at a better digital resolution. Peace

It was remixed. But Giles Martin said his job was to be respectful of the original so the tracks were cleaned up and EQd but that's all (no "vocoder" treatments, Mugnify!). Maybe the stereo image has been rebalanced? Not sure, but it sounds pretty much like the original to me, nothing drastic has been done to it.

Do the Beatles dive! I would suggest full albums, starting with "Please, Please Me" right through to their final recorded album, Abbey Road, but if not that, then I'll recommend the live rooftop performance of the song "Don't Let Me Down". And yes, that was Paul on Lead vocals. Peace

Lead vocals on this song is Paul McCartney, all four Beatles performed lead vocals on different songs, though Ringo performs the least. My personal recommendations for each of the other Beatles are: John: In My Life, Strawberry Fields Forever, Revolution, or I Want You (She's So Heavy) George: Only a Northern Song, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Love You To, or Within You Without You. Ringo: Octopus's Garden, Yellow Submarine, Boys, or Goodnight

From my experience you can react to a lot of Beatles material if you stop and talk for a little while during the song or something. You can also react to all of their television appearances and recorded concerts. This song was especially done by The Beatles on an American TV show The Dick Cavett Show I'm sure your audience would appreciate watching that video which I've seen people do all the way through and listening to this song and then see the crowd's reaction to the Beatles. They recorded and released over 210 songs and will watch everyone with you if you want to react to them.

The original 45 record was released in mono only in August 1968. In 1970, the song was released in Stereo on a compilation with the songs namesake (Hey Jude) which kinda became the default version of the song since. This version is yet another remix made by Giles Martin who's gone back to remix a number of Beatles albums and singles. Differences between each mix are pretty minimal asides each mix's fade seems to be shorter than the previous. Mono version lasts for 7:20 original Stereo about 7:12 and this around 7:05.

Paul had said he had been influenced by Little Richard. "Oh Darling" really has some of Paul's greatest Vocals! As far as I know, this digital remaster had added overlapping vocals by Paul at the outro. In the original release there are not as many of Paul's ad-lib vocals in the ending. There were two live recordings and a studio recording made (correct me if I'm wrong) which they stitched the audio together.

Ok so to clear it up. Paul and Michael did the song "The Girl is Mine" on "Thriller" It was also a hit single reaching Number 2 on the charts. They did two songs for Paul's album "Pipes of Peace" - "Say Say Say" a Number 1 hit and "The Man" which is just an album track but could have been a single. Also I think you were confused because Paul wrote the song "Girlfriend" for Michael to record which he did release on "Off the Wall" in 1979. Paul also did his own version of "Girlfriend" which wound up on the 1978 Wings album London Town.

This isn't remixed - it's remastered. The fidelity to the original is extremely precise and close. (They didn't go back to the stems until a few years later.) The Beatles' mixes were very stark and modern, including wide pans.

That’s why he asked Paul to “write hits” for him (and they did 3 songs together.) The Jackson 5 always cited The Beatles as their influence. MJ is a sore subject for many Beatles fans, btw (you may hear about that in your comments.)

You should check out the LIVE version from the David Frost show in 1968 if you only do it for yourself. They had the audience join them on stage. It's awesome. They also did 'Revolution' on the same broadcast. Very worthwhile. Paul's significant vocal influence was Little Richard. This version is accurate but crisper than the original. We wore out the vinyls replaying these. The sound would become muddy naturally.
