Love it and loved watching you dance!!! This was the dancing song back in the 70’s! Did you also notice that all 4 Gibb Brothers were on stage! Their brother Andy joined them for this song in their 1979 tour.

One of my favorite Bee Gees songs. The footage of John Travolta is from the movie "Saturday Night Fever." This song was on the movie soundtrack, which was the best selling soundtrack of all time, until Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard" took the top spot.

LOVE SO RIGHT, FANNY BE TENDER (WITH MY LOVE). JIVE TALKING, NIGHTS ON BROADWAY are on the list for you. This video is a glimpse of the youngest brother, Andy, with his brothers. He looks like Barry says beard. This cones from SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. You should consider a movie reaction channel. And maybe a listen to the song FOOTLOOSE along the way. Keep going and enjoy

A very groovin' reaction 💃🕺! Barry Gibb on lead vocals. I see 👁👁 you have reacted to the Bee Gees before: Lonely Days, Closer Than Close, Too Much Heaven, How Deep Is Your Love, Fanny (Be Tender With My Love), Nights On Broadway, To Love Somebody, Heartbreaker, New York Mining Disaster, Tomorrow Tomorrow, I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You, Stayin' Alive, Night Fever, Jive Talkin', Alexander's Ragtime Band/My Old Man's A Dustman (Ballad Of A Refuse Disposal Officer) Medley and How Can You Mend A Broken Heart. You Should Be Dancing was released as the lead single from the Bee Gees' 1976 album: Children Of The World. The song was also included on the 1977 film: Saturday Night Fever, movie soundtrack. The song was written by the Bee Gees. The song was produced by the Bee Gees, Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson. The song reached #1 on the Cash Box 100, #1 on the Hot 100, #1 on the Dance Club chart and #4 on the R&B chart. It's also the only track from the group to top the Dance Club music chart. The song was one of the biggest Disco hits of that era. When the 1977 film: Saturday Night Fever, hit theaters in December the song was used in a famous scene from the movie where John Travolta's character takes over the dance floor - an appropriate choice since the song is specifically about dancing. The dance sequence from the film was choreographed by Deney Terrio, host of the TV show: Dance Fever. The song had a huge impact on the Dance Club scene. According to Nicky Siano, a DJ at various clubs in New York City- as told in the 2020 documentary: The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, it was played at the hottest clubs about three times a night during its heyday, and helped bring Disco culture into the mainstream. Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills and Nash played percussion on this track. He recalled to The Independent August 17, 2013: "We were in the studio next door making a CSN album and David (Crosby) was all full of himself and saying this is going to be the album of the year. I went: "No it's not, that's being recorded across the hall", 'cause I'd heard some of that Saturday Night Fever stuff and I knew it was totally unique and going to be a monster. So I played timbales and for a long time that was my only Platinum single". The TV series: Glee, covered the song as part of its tribute episode to Saturday Night Fever, titled: "Saturday Night Glee-ver" (S3/E16). Darren Criss, Heather Morris, and Harry Shum Jr provided lead vocals as their TV show characters Blaine Anderson, Brittany Pierce, and Mike Chang. The song was featured at the end of the 2010 film: Despicable Me, where the minions replace Ballet music with the song so everyone can get on the floor and dance. It has also been featured in other films including 📽: Bob Marley One Love (2020), Ghostbusters (2016), The Angry Birds Movie (2016), Gentlemen (2014), Just Go With It (2011), Tony Manero (2008), Carlito's Way (1993), Saturday Night Fever (1997) and more. Critical Reception 🗣: Billboard described "You Should Be Dancing" as a "strong, uptempo disco cut" with the Bee Gees' "strongest singing since "Jive Talkin'". Cash Box said that "the playing is more polished [than 'Jive Talking'], and the band does some things to the vocals, with trading off, which are highly ear-catching". Record World called it an "across the board smash" saying "'Get off your back, you should be dancing' they sing and there's no resisting the stomping beat". Song Credits 📝: Barry Gibb - vocals, guitar Robin Gibb - vocals Maurice Gibb - vocals, bass guitar Alan Kendall - guitar Dennis Bryon - drums Blue Weaver - keyboards Joe Lala − percussion George Perry − percussion Stephen Stills - additional percussion Lyrics 🗒: My baby moves at midnight Goes right on till the dawn My woman takes me higher My woman keeps me warm What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah You should be dancing, yeah Dancing, yeah She's juicy and she's trouble She gets it to me good My woman gives me power Goes right down to my blood What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah You should be dancing, yeah Dancing, yeah What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah You should be dancing, yeah Dancing, yeah My baby moves at midnight Goes right on till the dawn, yeah My woman takes me higher My woman keeps me warm What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah You should be dancing, yeah Dancing, yeah What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah What you doin' on your bed on your back? Ah You should be dancing, yeah Dancing, yeah You should be dancing, yeah (Repeat 10x) Bee Gees Info 📰: The Bee Gees, from England, were formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. The Bee Gees were influenced by The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, The Mills Brothers, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, The Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder. On the 2014 documentary: The Joy Of The Bee Gees, Barry Gibb said that the Bee Gees were also influenced by The Hollies and Otis Redding. The trio were especially successful in popular music in the late 1960s and early 1970s and later as prominent performers in the disco music era in the mid to late 1970s. The Bee Gees were given their name by Bill Gates. We're not talking about the Microsoft Bill Gates, but a Brisbane radio presenter of that name. He named the group the "BGs" (later changed to "Bee Gees") after his, Barry Gibb's, and speedway promoter Bill Goode's initials. Bill Goode gave the Gibb brothers their first break after he hired them to entertain the crowd at the Redcliffe Speedway in 1960. The group has won a total of 8 Grammy Awards from 16 Grammy Award nominations over the course of their career. The Bee Gees have been referred to in the media as: The Disco Kings, Britain's First Family Of Harmony and The Kings Of Dance Music. The Bee Gees are prominently featured on two classic movie soundtracks: Saturday Night Fever (1977) & Staying Alive (1983). The Bee Gee's younger brother Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) had a very successful music career as a singer before he prematurely passed away in 1988. Following Maurice Gibb's sudden passing in January 2003 at the age of 53, Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb retired the group's name after 45 years of activity. In 2009, Robin Gibb announced that he and Barry Gibb had agreed that the Bee Gees would re-form and perform again. Robin Gibb passed away in May 2012, aged 62, after a prolonged period of failing health, leaving Barry Gibb as the only surviving member of the group. The discography of the British-Australian musical group Bee Gees consists of 39 albums (including 22 studio albums) and 83 singles. They have scored 9 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including 15 top ten hits and 43 chart entries overall. Billboard ranked them as the 28th Greatest Artist of All Time. Billboard also ranked them as the 14th Greatest Hot 100 Artist of all time. The Bee Gees were inducted in 1994 into the Songwriters Hall of Fame as well as Florida's Artists Hall of Fame in 1995. They were inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame in 1997. Also, in 1997 the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Bee Gees were appointed Commanders of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2002. In 2007, Barry Gibb was ranked by Q magazine at No. 38 on its list of '100 Greatest Singers'. Barry Gibb is also a member of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. In 2023, Barry Gibb was named as a Kennedy Center Honoree for contributions to American culture & for being a "Pop music pioneer". The Bee Gees have sold over 220 million records worldwide placing them among the best-selling music artists of all time. Miscellaneous Note 🗃: Barry Gibb is the only songwriter to have had four consecutive #1s on the Hot 100: "Stayin' Alive", "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water", "Night Fever" and "If I Can't Have You".
