wow im a 60 child, i found this album in my grandpas den of of 60s music. this song was one of them, i must have been 11 or 12. i never let my mom cut my hair again

Let me draw an analogy to another band. George Martin, a record producer that released The Beatles first hit "Love me do" once said, "I didn't sign them just because of their music talent. I signed them because of their charm. They were very charming people". The Cowsills still successfully tour because they are very charming people.

That was cool. You know, I'm in their age group (68) and we are losing these great Classic Rock era people every day. Most are in their mid 70s to early 80s in age. That is just about when the great people of any era, begin to pass away. Take advantage of any of them that are willing to be interviewed before they are gone forever. Not all can still perform like The Cowsills, but even just having them on to talk is so educational, even to us who were there when it happened. God Bless

Believe it or not, I recall seeing this...I was a kid, so I have NO idea what channel etc. But I do recall it. I had forgotten it till now. 1970 my fisrt trip to New York City, the play "HAIR" was down the street from our hotel, me and my friends were 16 and tried to see the play, the problem was you had to be 18, or accompanied by an adult because of the adult content of the play and the nude scene. 😮 eventually years later I saw it, great play, great music👍 and we could at least listen to the Cowsils they were great! I can't believe what I just saw... That was so special... As I said yesterday The cowsills are my musical heroes and I grew up with them being about the same age as them... I am the same age as their brother John which is 3 years older than Susan... Jay and amber I loved your reaction to them singing... I felt honored just listening to it... Susan Cowsill actually had another band in the late '90s (with Vicki Peterson of the Bangles) called the Continental Drifters. That would make a great reaction for Female Friday! One of my favorite songs of theirs is called "The Rain Song."

I feel so relieved because ... I am 1 year and 2 days older than Susan, and I've always really loved her. I only wish I could have met her. I've followed the band for many, many years (well, since I first heard them in the 60's), followed them through all the tragedies and always wished I could've been there for them in some capacity ... they definitely deserved better from life, but they always showed their good side.
