First time hearing THE EMPTINESS MACHINE by "Linkin Park"?

felt like linkin park to me. I think she's a great fit. but i definitely understand the emotional attachment to chester and it not feeling right without him. some people won't be able to get past that and thats fine. don't listen to the new stuff. but theres no need for all the hate. new edit: I originally wrote a dissertation here based on my opinions around the accusations against Emily. @Bigbodipapi called me on that and was warranted into doing so. All I ask is that before jumping on the bandwagon, do your own research and look at both sides. What is the motivation of the accusation? Is it valid or does the person have their own agenda? I did my research and I'm on Emily's side. If anyone wants to know why, I'm happy to discuss. in the end, people will believe what they want to believe. i respect anyone who doesn't like the sound without chester. don't listen. don't buy the new music. don't go to the shows. i've done that in the past when one of my other favorite bands brought in a new vocalist. just wasn't for me so i quit listening. i didn't go out and atttack the band or the new vocalist though. its their band and their choice. Let's just get past the hate and let LP with emily make more great music. Hopefully that will bring in new fans and those fans will dive into the history of LP and discover what LP sounded like with chester. Thats how you preserve his legacy. Not with all this self-righteous hate. Finally, I watched the full live stream as it was happening. Mike and the original band members were smiling the entire night. That in itself should be enough. new addition: I watched another reactor in a different country watch fan captured video of the full concert from LA. when they played his favorite song, he had a spontaneous emotional breakdown. Not because he didn't like it but over the pure joy of hearing his favorite band play his favorite song live again. something he didn't think would ever happen. That's what I wish for all LP fans. I know its a tall ask, but wouldn't it be great.

What happened to personal privacy… we all fight for equality and fairness but then just because someone is in the public eye they’re no longer human and prone to making mistakes? Over time, no one will notice if this standard remains. I have more than one favorite Hungarian band where there was a change of singer, honestly, it's not disturbing at all, the two songs are right next to each other on my playlist, I'm rather glad that there are many songs from them. :) I think it was good for Linkin Park, Emily, I'm glad that there will be new songs! :)

this emotional connection to chester is weird in my honest opinion... yes he was a legend, yes i dont think there is an appropriate replacement for him... but... that being said... just like all things come to an end, we need as a community of rock music lovers need to be WAY less soft when it comes to attempting to completely write someone off because of their beliefs/past... i feel like just because people SO STRONGLY (unhealthily strongly) disagree with this move for LP as a band they are trying to dig up almost anything to try and cancel her.... like.... Alice in Chains is probably one of my favorite bands of all time... the "replacement" they got for him when he passed is ABSOLUTELY abhorrent compared to the vocal range that Emily has.. and there are moments when i hear her singing that i think she has a VERY similar rasp/fire to her voice that chester had... its wrong to say this ISNT Linkin Park... idk considering... that it IS them now... and everyone is so OBSESSED with being "accepted" but then so unnecessarily place judgement on things that are OPINION based and try and get people cancelled for literally NO REASON.... clown world behavior....

If you don’t agree with my opinion you can just say it that’s fine lol. I know we’re discussing difference of opinions but it seems like you have some loaded trauma regarding the subject. Not sure about a “clown world” but people having emotional connections to a singer who impacted millions, whether that’s relating to his struggles or music in general, isn’t as weird as you think. And if it is, then so be it! But I think it’s important not to belittle others for thinking differently about a subject than you.

I think you both are missing the point, that everyone is entitled to their opinions and don’t need to be criticized in unfair ways. I’m not “worshipping” anyone, my opinion is that it doesn’t feel like Linkin Park anymore. Your opinion may be that that’s a “soft” take or whatever, but you’re on my channel. you are 100% right. it is a new start for linkin park. they are starting almost from scratch. she is doing very well... but she still has to grow into it. and yes... sorry: the old songs sound UNFORTUNATELY wrong with her singing.

I think if you don't like her singing them then just don't go listen to them. There's no way they can get around her not having her singing them Somes times some fans will Want hear them even if her singing them so people will just have to be upset about it. It's not up to fans to tell the band what they should or should not do I think that is the most Disrespectful thing you can do. Changing the name of the band would of canceled Chester this way he will carry on.
