Honey Cone was a Los Angeles based group with the lead singer, Edna Wright, having a famous sister named Darlene Love. Their 1971 song"Want Ads" was their only #1 hit written by the legendary songwriting team of Holland/Dozier/Holland of Motown fame. This song deserves a reaction.

Hi there Asia & BJ, As you can see The Honey Cone (from the 70's) had a lot of SOUL and this song "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show" was a secondary "Hit" by them that got some radio play back in the day...But their biggest "Hit" was a track titled: "WANT ADS" and I encourage you to react to that one also!!!

Back in the '70s there was a lot of cross-pollination in music, what you heard hear was some Latin rhythm. If you haven't already heard it give a listen to 'Suavacito' by Malo which had Carlos Santana's brother in it. Great song.
