Saw them open an act in Seattle a few years back and was blown away. The HU is great.

Actually wearing my Hu T-shirt as I'm typing. The expression on her face at first was Priceless but they got to her by the end, lol!

I saw The Hu live about a month ago. They were opening for Megadeth and Five Finger Death Punch. They were absolutely amazing! I have a new favorite band! Love tribal metal!

Hu! Hu! Hu! This is a war song based on old chants attributed to Chingis (Genghis) Khan. They use traditional instruments and Mongolian throat singing to create a unique Folk Metal sound. I highly recommend their collaboration with Lzzy Hale, "Song of Women". They also have a couple of killer Metalica covers.

I have never been a fan of heavy metal. But these guys are the exception. I enjoy their different sound. Mongolian throat singing with very cool instruments.

This song is primal fire! I chant HU in my head while I catch waves in the ocean.

The band’s name translates to the Mongolian root word for human being, and their unique approach blends instruments like the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar), Tumur Khuur (jaw harp) and throat singing withcontemporary sounds, creating a unique sonic profile that they call “Hunnu Rock.”

Thank you, Sarah for doing a reaction to this band. I had never heard of them. Will look for more of their work. I enjoyed listening to Mongolian rap music 15-20 yrs ago. This reminded me to them. It would be fascinating if Tom MacDonald and The Hu Band collaborated on a piece. That would be mind-blowing!

I love this because I love indigenous music from around the world since I’m part Native American on both sides of my family, with Cherokee on my mother’s side and Navajo and Blackfeet on my Father’s side, the only grandfather I ever got to know was my Stepgrandfather who was full blooded Navajo

Hu! Hu! Hu! Hu! I love the Hu! Song of Women with Lizzy Hale is great too-and they show photos of the band members with their mothers when they were babies. There is also a trilogy of songs-the 3rd one is a very fun celebration.

Perhaps you don't realize just how accurate you are about this song being a 'war chant', because it is! If you read about this song, it's a Mongolian chant for fighting foes.
