And other thing is...this was their 1st album off of Bad Boy and joined DMX & Eve and Drag-On on Ruff Ryders Production label. They was dissing Diddy throughout the whole album. But they had toute his name or references that allude to him on the album. You will notice it on that last track The Title Track We Are The Streets. Thats the outright diss to him. The rest was just subs at him.

'Thumbs Up' by Richie Thumbs feat the LOX and Mo' Money was probably the first time a lot of us heard the LOX. Then it was the "You'll See' freestyle on Bad Boy Mixtape Vol. 3, followed by a series of legendary records like "Well, Well, Well," "1,2,3,4" and my personal favorite: "Reppin' Uptown" by Herb McGruff feat The LOX and Mase. LOX sustained the NYC sound for years to come.

Hey yo bruh, I really watch a lot of reaction videos. But really, my personal opinion. You are one of the realist, and most genuine. So keep doing what you do. And just know that you got a fan in Florida straight sliding with you. Even though you really need to do some trick daddy. Try the song. He got called. You can't f-ck with south.

Definitely Review This Whole Album , Majority of this Album they talking about Diddy on it you can catch the subs and Shots , They Couldn’t Say his Name it was part of the contract Negotiations when Interscope And Ruff Ryders Paid $3M to get them from Bad Boy Records , So it was Still a lot of bad blood between The Lox and Puff , But Side Not Definitely one of my Favorite Albums

And as far as when this album came out....I believe it was late 1999. Cause that 2000 shit came a little after this...cause I think they either referred to that on maybe the Wild Out video or something like that. I know Nas definitely did it with his Nastradamous music video...but I cant remember for sure if LOX did it too. But that was a big thing back then with ppl thinking that 2000 shit might be something. I know Jada joke and said something about yall worrying bout that Y2K shit. Thats what I do remember.

If you wanna be technical with who the father of drill music is it’s 50 cent. If you ask most of the Chicago rappers they will say 50 is their favorite rapper and GRODT was all their favorite album. 💯

I think yall getting drill music and gangsta music confused. Drill music is real with real names and real crimes that happened. Gangster music is more hypothetical, not real.
@GitMuLaАй бұрын
50 made gangster music not drill. But technically the ghetto Quran was a drill song because it had names of real people and events. Also in the song Many Men he named dropped hommo.
@jabroni_z2686Ай бұрын
@@GitMuLa no body is saying 50 made drill music. I’m saying he’s the main inspiration behind the creation of that style of rap. James Brown didn’t create hip hop but he influenced the genre heavily. 50 was the hottest rapper at the time most of the drill pioneers were coming up.
