@@TheTempleOfBoomAnyone with an ear can tell that’s a Keith Richards solo, and not a Mick Taylor one. As stated above, Andy Johns tells a great story about how “Bitch” came to fruition. To paraphrase: he said the rest of the band was in the studio working on the song and that it was going nowhere until Keith showed up, ate a bowl of cereal, plugged his guitar in, and completely transformed the song. Andy describes it as the moment he realized the significance of Keith Richards.

Bitch" was conceived during the Sticky Fingers sessions in October 1970. Richards was late that day, but when he arrived he transformed a loose jam into the trademark riff found on the released take. Andy Johns claimed: When we were doing "Bitch," Keith was very late. Jagger and Mick Taylor had been playing the song without him and it didn't sound very good. I walked out of the kitchen and he was sitting on the floor with no shoes, eating a bowl of cereal. Suddenly he said, Oi, Andy! Give me that guitar. I handed him his clear Dan Armstrong Plexiglass guitar, he put it on, kicked the song up in tempo, and just put the vibe right on it. Instantly, it went from being this laconic mess into a real groove. And I thought, Wow. THAT'S what he does.[5]

3:18 Good comment about the swagger...And that was the Stone's image..the bad boys of Rock N' Roll, drug using, hedonistic heathens and they lived life like it, too. ( Tony Sanchez, Longtime pal of Keith Richards and author of "Up And Down with the Rolling Stones, 1981) As for Keith's playing, I always loved his solos..none of 'em ever had the same sound, very creative . Bobby Keys was the session sax player who played on many of thier records.

The Stones rode into America right alongside The Beatles in the British Invasion. The Beatles were every parent's wet dream for their daughters; cute, well behaved, wholesome, singing, I Wanna Hold Yor Hand... The parents loved them. The Rolling Stones had bad boy DNA, they were singin: I Just Wanta Make Love to You. They were dangerous. The parents hated them. Who do you suppose the daughters found irresistible?

As others have said, this is Keith Richards on Lead, Mick Taylor on Rhythm which is not uncommon but usually it’s the other way around. 95% sure it’s a Keef riff though. Bobby Keys on Sax and Jim Price on Trumpet, they played wit so many of the greats and in my opinion, this is the best iteration of this band including the producer Jimmy Miller.

One of the last great songs from their run with Mick Taylor in their lineup. Arguably, the best players this group ever put forward. DANCE LITTLE SISTER, (DO, DO, DO, DO, ) HEARTBREAKER, IYS P LY ROCK-N-ROLL (BUT I LIKE IT) and the rare gem FINGERPRINT FILE cut loose throbbing rhythm and energy, represent some of the greatest recordings in their catalog. I remember buying the compilation album Made in the Shade for ITS ONLY ROCK-N-ROLL, ANGIE, and HAPPY, and it sold me forever on this band. After the first couple of paychecks from my after-school job in my senior year of high school, I started going to Peaches Record store every week and bought at least one cassette of the back catalog. I have since upgraded to cds and am glad I did. Because over 5o years later, their music still kicks ass. How about ONE HIT TO THE BODY next? Keep going and enjoy

I will be going to check out the Mick Jagar and Kieth Richards shredding at Aligiant Stadium in Vegas. It will be my 5th time. Unfortunately, the late Charlie Watts won't be banging the big bass drum and the also diseased Bobby Keys won't be blowing that Saxaphone that was such a huge part of the Stones sound during the era that this song came out. Many great songs feature Bobby's Sax. Rip this Joint, Sweet Virginia, Brown Sugar, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Emotional Rescue, Tumblin Dice, Happy, which is sung by Kieth Richards, just to name a few.

That guitar is all Keith Richard’s on this one. Raw and dirty 🤘. Stones were always great at incorporating horns into their music. If you like the Stones/horns combo then you HAVE to check out All Down the Line from their 1972 concert in Texas (“Ladies and Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones”). Man, that is Rolling Stones at peak form and when the horns kick in while Jagger’s singing “won’t you be my little baby for a while” - it is rock and roll perfection!
