A joke in itself. When I was an exchange student in the US, I first stopped saying I was from Finland (because the following question was 'Is it in California?'). Then I said I was from Scandinavia. No light bulbs lighting up there either. Then I ended up saying I'm from Europe. Did not have to go to 'I'm from outside the USA', luckily.
