During a FB livestream Tom was asked about Madchild because he was also a Canadian. Madchild heard about it and was going to L.A. anyway and called up Tom. Instead of continuing controversy he offered to take Madchild for lunch. Madchild was walking up the street, and Tom made fun of him. Madchild started to charge Tom, and Tom apologized. They ate dinner and Madchild became the bigger man and let it go. They ate dinner and then decided to do a collab album together. Later on in a radio interview in which Madchild couldn't reveal who he was working with, he said that there are younger artists that have reached out to him, and that even though he lost everything twice, and screwed people over that there people out there that wanted to give him a third chance. Before that Tom had heard of Madchild, but Madchild hadn't heard of him. Deductive reasoning, Tom and Madchild are not related. But it's cool because he helped a fellow Canadian rebuild.

Tom has two parents and one sister. That's it. MADCHILD really was homeless, living with Tom and Nova for a while. Nova was signed with Def Jam when she was still a teenager.
