I'm a lifelong STYX fan and in my opinion Tommy Shaw has one of the top 10 greatest voices in rock history. More than that...he's a genetic anomaly. He's in his 70's and basically looks and def sounds as good as he ever did...his voice has lost NOTHING with age. I had this album and used to play it to death. Another great song on this album is called "Kiss Me Hello" and "Lonely School." This song has a cool video as well. Check some more Damn Yankees.

This song was used in the first season Miami Vice episode "The Glades" for the scene of Crockett and Tubbs in the black Ferrari cruising through the Everglades on the Tamiami Trail. And when they arrive at their destination in the Glades, they indeed meet up with a girl with a gun, so the song was quite appropriate!

Girls with Guns is the title track of the album. Tommy's 2nd solo album "What If" isn't that great...but his 3rd "Ambition" is really good and his 4th called "7 Deadly Zens" is also pretty darn good...check out the opening song called "Ocean."

This was from his solo album after he left Styx. The reason he split was because he didn't like the direction the band had taken by doing songs like Mr. Roboto. He wanted to do more hard rock, yet this solo album was NOT hard rock. I call it shlock. Didn't like it at all, but I do like Tommy and his great work he's done with Styx.
