• Tristania - Evenfall (...
"Evenfall" was promoted with a music video that mixes scenes of a presentation during his tour Widow's Tour de incios 1999, interspersed with some dramatizations of actors dressed in medieval costumes, filmed at certain locations in Norway.
This version is slightly different from that contained in the original album, introducing a mixture with a lower end and with the addition of "Preludium ...".
The video of the concert was filmed in Oberwart, Austria and was produced by David Beránek.
Rendering and remastered in 1080p.

Finally, welcome to the rabbit hole that is Tristania, and especially Vibeke. Vibeke is a goddess. She actually was in the run to take lead vocalist place for Nightwish, and would have been as good a fit as Floor is now. Besides Vibeke's amazing range, as you pointed out, the entire band is brilliant. You need to watch more from them, so much worth it!

Tristania is easily the GOAT gothic metal band imo. regarding the rabbit hole that is their discography I only consider the first two albums to be true Tristania albums. The band completely lost its magic when Morton Veland left. Veland started his own band Sirenia that is much better than current tristania but nothing is as good as those first 2 Tristania albums

@@wasissusila2982 Theatre of Tragedy changed looong before Liv Kristine left. After "Aegis" (if i recall ?), they just went in a completely different musical direction all of a sudden, from the dark atmospheric gothic metal to.. i dont know what to call it.. very synth heavy... industrial maybe ? Almost crossed the border into pop music on some songs.. it was years after that when Liv Kristine left the band (i dont remember exactly when... early/mid 2000's).

In reality, if you talk about the "beauty and beast" subtype, it was theatre of tragedy by itself... You could add "the third and the mortal".. tristania and others came later...

Draconian weren't really known until their first album came out in 2003 i think. Before that it was just a bunch of demos. The Sins of Thy Beloved were well known but didn't last long unfortunately.

My beloved Tristania !!! I hope you will do more. Here you can hear highest level of contrast between growl and soprano. No other band done it better. Even Epica. There are several masterpiece albums. This song is from first one - "Widow`s Weed" , pure gothic metal.

Funny I just suggested you guys check out Tristania and didn't realize you already have but I recommend the non live tracks purely for sound quality, but I 100% agree, they are one of the best in the genre. Their 1st 3 albums are definitely my favorites. Please check out any of these tracks...My Lost Lemore, ...Of Ruins And A Red Nightfall, Angina, Tender Trip On Earth, Lethean River, Aphelion or Beyond The veil. You won't be disappointed. I hope yall dont give up on them!!!

Morten Veland was a genius!!! I think he got lazy later on....or just lost interest, as Sirenia is kind of ok, but that those first 2 albums were absolute killer....and Tristania too of course! Vibeke is....voice and looks....an absolute GODDESS!!!! And Pete Johansen's violin playing just added SO much to the music of Tristania, Sirenia and The Sins of thy beloved!
