Fighting Depression is a constant battle and you can never let your guard down. I think he got comfortable, he became confident and the demon he fights pulled him back.

In the start the video shooting was at Iceland, rest of the video in Ukraine. The bishop took Tyler back into the city of Dema. (Tyler's depression comes in cycles)

At the beginning of this song he was very confident bc he just escaped Dema in Nico and the Niners - he even drops a line referencing Car Radio saying he doesn't need that Car Radio to distract himself anymore bc he has control over his thoughts now Then later in the video he starts to doubt himself and talks about how he uses the song structure to compensate for his music not being that good (and this song has no structure- its just one long rap) Of course its at night when the negative thoughts creep back in and then Nico comes back and snatches him to take him back to Dema This is where the story sits right now - im sure their next album will have more answers!

Nice job! I really like how you described the Trench Trilogy in this reaction. I would love to see you go back and do a 2nd Reaction of all the videos together in one mega 2nd take. Keep this mind. Heavydirtysoul video was 2017, but the blurryface concept may go back many years before the Blurryface album. In 2015, when Blurryface was released, Tyler said that Blurryface was a character that "represents a certain level of insecurity", and this story weaves through most songs on the album. We see Blurryface in HDS, and the video is a loop or cycle where at the end it is a new day and Tyler is back in the car. Or maybe it's a nightmare that repeats. The 2018 Trench Trilogy (Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, Levitate) references back to HDS, and some also say Heathens, so you can call HDS/Heathens a prequel if you like. In 2018, Tyler talked how, in fighting his insecurities, he needs to first understand them to control them, and he needed to give them a name and a place at the table, so he could look them in the eyes. Tyler reveals in the song Morph, that Blurryface's real name is Nicolas Bourbaki, Nico for short. Nico is one of nine Bishops governing over seperate regions of the city Dema, in the world of Trench. Trench is a world in between, a wild place through which Tyler must travel before he really gets out (that may be a future sequel, maybe the next album, or the one after). The map of Dema is not unlike a map of the brain, so you can see how this is all a battle within the mind. The Trilogy is a loop, and Tyler says in NATN, "we'll win, but not everyone will get out". This is the struggle with mental health; for some it is a cycle, you think you are better, but you fall down again, and some will lose the fight. The loop is referenced with the yellow flowers, notice in NATN he has a collection of flowers in the drawer. The Trench story is only shot in the Trilogy, but the story weaves through most songs on the album, some just minor references. To me, the major Trench storyline is mental health, but think there is also a second supporting storyline. I think this dystopian world also reflects the harm that religion has on the psyche. Indoctrination and telling us what to think and believe is a form of control that is oppressive and harmful. Tyler talked how in writing Trench, it was the closest he felt to living in a world without God. I feel his struggle with god that is present in so many of his lyrics (back to 2007/2008 solo work No Phun Intended), is a major source of his anxieties and depression, but he keeps returning to what he knows, and I fear he will never get out. The last Clancy letter, Clancy returns to Dema and finds comfort in the confines of Dema. Is that where Tyler will stay? Sorry this is so long. Many, may not agree with my opinion here, but this is my opinion, you are free to have your own opinion.

You should check out the Panic! At the Disco trilogy! The order is: "Saturday Night," "This is Gospel" and then "The Emperor's New Clothes." Emperor was actually released first, but is the last video in the trilogy. You should also check out Fall Out Boy "Church," "Heaven's Gate," "Save Rock & Roll," or "Sugar, We're Going Down."
