Thanks so much for that great reaction. My interpretation is that the song is looking at how fleeting our presence is, with lots of shots of the natural world (ocean, mountain, forest, river) and it's power, and the futile protagonist flitting in and out of view, leaving no mark. The mask might be a death mask (used by many societies) and the figure with it has passed into the void. I think the inspiration for Ty might have been a combination of the isolation of COVID along with the birth of Ty's first baby (that's his then pregnant wife Denee that shows up a couple of times). The last lines have a huge impact. "Through a mirror, you'll see clearer. The stones are made of dust and the metal is only rust". The mirror shows yourself, aging and only briefly here. Eventually everything decays, but nature outlasts us all. I loved your reaction and openness to the song. It's a challenging first listen, but you did a great job with it.

Jess, think I'd pass on this one but if you wanted to do a cover, I'd listen.
