VoicePlay decided they needed to clear out their storage, so they have begun to hold patron only charity auctions for their costumes and props. The costumes from this video were among the 13 lots of the first auction, which raised $3500 for Save the Music Foundation. We’re waiting for the results from the second auction, which will also support No Kid Hungry. Not only are these guys immensely talented, they are also genuinely nice, caring people. By the way, I was particularly watching when they started singing in Dovahzul. You didn’t disappoint!

Dragonborn: An Imperial barbarian, a Dunmer battlemage, a Bosmer archer, a Breton necromancer, and a Nord Jarl hang out in the Palace of Kings ready to belt out a classic. The first time I heard this, I was like, “Wait-where’s the rest of the movie?” It felt like this was the lead-in for a feature film with these characters, heading out to battle, and I wanted to see what happened from there. If VP ever did do something like that, I’d be there for it. Great reaction!!

Welcome back Katie! The smiles say it all. At the risk of sounding like a stuck record Voiceplay are just on another level when they go epic. This is a brilliant arrangement by Geoff. Love Eli being the rock god he is, Layne's beatboxing is so distinctively good, Omar & Cesar sound like angels & of course Geoff is a dragon. They always give 100% Cesar is actually wearing real chainmail which was so heavy he had to lay down between takes!!!

VoicePlay always reminds me of J.R.R Tolkien. He didn't just write a story, he created a whole world with languages, maps and writing. VoicePlay do the same, they never give you just a song but recreate the scene/world from the lyrics with costumes, sets, acting etc. Their creativity and talent is incredible! VoicePlay is awesome about making time for their patrons. Hopefully soon enough they will do live shows again regularly. I want to see them in person and meet them. Geoff is so amazingly gorgeous. Also a huge Home Fry. I do get to meet Tim Foust in late July and hopefully Austin Brown. I even got VoicePlay and Home Free tattoos.

Katie!! So glad you're back! Really enjoyed the reactions from both of you. I am NOT a gamer, never heard of Skyrim, Dovazhul, Nords, nor nothing like it, but I love this. Love it! Really, any performance of VP or Geoff's is simply off of the charts. Any of the Disney songs are theatrical. You guys really got to check out Dirty Loops. They don't have the huge back catalogue of VP or Dimash, but they are incredible musicians, and Jonah, the vocalist, is insane. Maybe start with Work Shit Out, Rock You or Breakdown just to get the first hint of what they do on their own, then look at Follow the Light, a collab with Cory Wong.

As usual they always leave me wanting more. I am not a gamer but the music is absolutely gorgeous. I am quite a bit older than most people listening I believe. I don’t listen constantly to music - it’s something that usually is in the background. But VoicePlay is kind of a gateway for me into music that I wouldn’t normally listen to. I credit them for exposing me to a lot of artists that I would never encounter otherwise. I actually ended up downloading the entire Skyrim soundtrack because of this. I had never even heard of Imagine Dragons until they covered Warriors. But I find myself humming Enemy and Warriors all the time. Katie, you really need to watch their production of Enemy. Since I was unfamiliar with the music/game/series, I went out and googled the original as I often do after hearing their cover. And I was fortunate enough to find a copy with the music merged with clips from the game and could kind of place what was going on. (Jinx has me totally mystified). I would never ever think of watching an anime/animated series like that, but I’m seriously thinking of subscribing to Netflix just so I can watch it. That is to me the epitome of a true artist. They can bring a whole new world into your life. I wouldn’t mind at all to watch you guys cover Enemy again with Katie seeing it for the first time, simply because it is so phenomenal. Not something I would normally listen to but can’t get it out of my head.

Nice to see you back, Katie! The two of you may find VoicePlay’s mini version of Magic Dance from Labyrinth interesting 😊! But it’s very short so perhaps you don’t want to do a reaction to it. Or you can react to many minis at the same time 😊. Fun fact: in the Elder Scrolls setting, Dwarfs are actually a type of Elf, and they are not short at all. They are also long dead, so no one here is playing one. The setting is inspired by Norse mythology, and the dwarves in Norse mythology were also a type of elf.

If I can make a recommendation for a reaction try band maid, it's Japanese all female hard rock, I really recommend domination live as a starting point, the maidiacs will follow... they have an amazing fan base. Also they don't block any reactions to their official stuff. Side note great reaction love voice play

If you would like to watch a nother great cover of this try the german band Saltatio Mortis (feat Lara Loft) and their rendition of "The Dragonborn Comes" would also recommend "Pray to the hunter" from them as that also has some The Elder Scrolls connection 😉

So much fun to watch Katie geek out with sheer joy throughout the performance. Very glad you're feeling better, btw! (And also, I'd be down to watch a solo reaction to "Enemy" if you were inclined.... I'd love to know your thoughts on it.) As to Uncle Gij's request for recommendations, if you haven't looked at their recent cover of Aerosmith's Dream On, I'd suggest you start there. It's another track featuring Omar, and it's straight up amazing. The other suggestion I have for you is older (when their lineup still had Earl as high tenor and J. None singing baritone), and it's actually a series of videos. First is Trapped: Billie Eilish in 3 Minutes, and that is followed by Panic! in 4 Minutes, Parts 1 & 2. First of all, this series is great because the arrangements are both top tier- they are more mashup than medley, with songs weaving together in really cool ways. But also because, despite being filmed out of order and over a year apart, these videos (along with the accompanying songs) tell a story. The attention to continuity in filming in those videos is great, but the music is even better.
