VoicePlay are very versatile, from very theatrical ones like Hoist The Colours, Friends On The Other Side, or The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim, some are pure harmony, such as True Colours or Can't Help Falling in Love, and then various Disney medleys like Moana or Little Mermaid, We Don't Talk About Bruno, and then more rock/pop ones which are too numerous to list here but Mr Blue Sky, Sh-Boom, Carry On Wayward Son or Go the Distance. etc etc. . Whatever they do, it's always amazing, you won't regret watching. Geoff Castellucci, the bass, has his own channel of low bass covers.

Oogie Boogie Song is fantastic! (Helps to have seen the movie 'Nightmare Before Christmas' prior to watching that or at least watch a clip of how the song is performed in the movie before seeing how Voiceplay smashes it out of the park!)

I’m SO GLAD that you decided to check out Voiceplay… in my opinion, the holy trinity of acapella are Pentatonix, Home Free, and Voiceplay. One of my favorite things is to see reactors see and hear Voiceplay for the first time! They are fantastic. They have lost two members in the last two years. The big high tenor left in 2020 for personal reasons; the black baritone left last spring to join the US Navy and sing with them. He came back last fall when he was on leave to do a full version of Friends on the Other Side. To see the variety of what they can do, check the two most recent pieces, We Don't Talk About Bruno and The Dragonborn Comes. The bass, Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci started a solo channel during the pandemic, you will love his work as well. Welcome to the rabbit hole!! I look forward to more!

Voiceplay is my personal favourite groupe but for new comers there very confusing when it comes to members as there have been a few comes and goes . So there are only 3 members that are gonna be in every single video . Those are Geoff the bass (Jeff) Layne the beatboxer and Eli the bald tenor(Ellie) the other 2 have left the groupe . The original KZbin line up (the groupe has been around for a long time but I'm gonna tell you the members from when they joined and produced on KZbin ) so it started as Geoff Eli Layne earl who is the bearded high singing guy in this and Tony . Tony ended up leaving voiceplay but makes minor cameos here and there such as being in a costume that pops up for a few seconds then disappears and stuff like that . Once he left the groupe they featured a women called Rachel potter a few times who is there most common feature appearing in 1/3 of all there songs so she's not a member but it would be good to remember her . They also featured j none a few times before he joined the groupe and he is the black man you see in this video . And he is simply amazing . However I think it was 2020 he left the groupe along with earl they left I think 1-3 months apart from eachother . 1 month after j none leaving he did however feature in his last song to date which was friends on the other side . During all this they featured a guy called Cesar in a few videos Cesar joined voiceplay and is a current member of the groupe . And that leaves us where we are now the current line up for voiceplay is 4 guys Geoff Layne Eli and Cesar . There is a featured singing guest for most if not all of there full length covers but for stuff like the ACA top 10 series it's mostly them except for a few where they have people like Chris's rupp from home free sing with them and Rob Lundquist from home free sing with them .

I am SO excited about this, so glad you're checking out VoicePlay! Love them. They do a lot of Disney, a lot of musical theater -- they've been called the "theater kids" of the a cappella world. You can't go wrong with any of their vids IMO, but I especially recommend the Little Mermaid medley and We Don't Talk About Bruno.

Home Free and VoicePlay are especially close since they competed on the same season of the SingOff. After Home Free won they were contractually obligated to headline the SingOff live tour. The producers asked two other groups to join Home Free based on their talent and compatibility, VoicePlay and Filharmonic. There are videos of all three groups performing during the tour.

So many wonderful performances to choose from. We Don't Talk About Bruno, Halo, Dragonborn Comes, Hoist the Colors are all pretty theatrical and really good. Eleanor Rigby, True Colors and Tennessee Whiskey are all just drop dead gorgeous singing. But whatever you choose, you'll have fun. If you like this kind of medley, you might also check out Boy Bands in 5 minutes.

If you like the Oogie Boogie Song, they do a full version of that song in full character voices, Geoff Castelluci is a phenomenal bass and he does his own music as well. Also If I Were A Rich Man/Girl featuring Ashley Diane and We Dont Talk About Bruno also featuring Ashley Diane are also really good. Their rendition of Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean is really good too. I also recommend The Dragonbourn Comes Skyrim by them as well.

Thanks for reacting to Voice Play! They are a group from Orlando Florida with experience working for Universal and/or Disney theme parks so they have a very theatrical style of acapella music. They really get into character with costumes and makeup and do all of their own arrangements, lighting and production in their own studio near Orlando. This one was very tame for them as they have some great videos that cover Disney, adventure and gaming. I think you will really enjoy them a lot!

Welcome to the voiceplay rabbit hole. I loved the look on your face when you heard them... Earl (with the high voice) has now left the group after a health scare. Though he is still in many older videos... The singer with the voice you first commented on J'None left recently to join the Navy.. So a young man called Cesar now sings with them.... Verulamium confusing for newcomers.... As a Disney fan you should check out Moana medley, Little mermaid medley among numerous other songs... You will find VP like to have fun while they work... Any song by them will bring you more of their fans. We are very loyal to them...

Friends on the Other Side or one of their latest We Don't Talk About Bruno are favourites of mine. If you love Disney, you should check out PTX doing Can You Feel the Love Tonight. I'm fairly new to Voiceplay but they are great!

If you love Disney, VoicePlay is definitely a rabbit hole worth diving into. This video was shot live but most of their videos that are not aca top 10s are pre-recorded. They sometimes go all out with the theatricality and it's pretty fantastic. It's hard to go wrong with them but maybe try their Moana medley next?

Voice Play has so many covers that you might enjoy. They do a lot of Disney medleys as well as some other stand-alone stuff. Bot Geoff and Lane have their own channels where they release both music and instructional videos. Voice Play has got to be one of my all time favorite groups to date.

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is VoicePlay. As has been mentioned in other comments, Geoff Castellucci (Pronouced Jeff), their Bass singer is phenominal and has his own channel. The rest of the cast (in this video we have from top left to right is Eli (pronounced Elly) tenor 2 extraordinaire, Earl (who has since left the group) Tenor 1 (High tenor), J None (left last year to sing in the navy) Barritone, Bottom row is Geoff (Bass master 6000) and Layne (Baritone but primarily beatboxer from another world...he's really that good). Depending on if you're looking for Disney specific (like THe Moana Medly, Little Mermaid medly, We Don't Talk about Bruno ((their latest)) etc,) covers of various songs/medlies (Queen in five minutes, Trapped: billie Eillish in three minutes, Warriors, and OH so many more), Theatrical (Hoist the colors, Oogie Boogie's song ((and the other songs they did from Nightmare Before Christmas)), The Greatest Showman Medly...etc)... they have a bit of something for everyone. Including Gamers especially lately. (For that check out The Dragonborn Comes, or their Halo theme). Also check out their Minis...they deserve love for those as well. Their line up has shifted a bit (as noted above) and now they have Cesar as Barritone and various guest singers while they search for the elusive fifth member, but they keep getting better with everything they do.

I love everything they do. For J nones last video with them ( which was not the last) Long story, but they did Michael Jackson's Man in the mirror. They have done plenty of non-character things like stevie wonder's superstition. If you want to hear their character voices I guess Oogie boogie song is best at showing off that. In superstition, J none wrote a rap for that which was brilliant. They have been labeled the theater boys of accapella , but they do so many different things and Geoff and Laynes arranging of songs are nothing shy of brilliant. Personally Voiceplay is my Favorite group. Enjoy the rabbit hole.

To see a little more of the current lineup that you just watched you might check out their Boy Bands in 5 minutes. I suffered through listening to 90s boy bands because of my son, so I knew all those songs. But what surprised me was that they went back to some of the original boy bands like the Jackson 5 and Frankie Valli. It is one of my favorites just because it’s so much fun. Some of the things they are known for is their transitions during the medleys along with their incredible harmonies and their sense of fun. They also do a lot of theatrical pieces since they are based in Orlando and most of them worked in the theme parks. I believe the most epic so far is their Dragonborn Comes/Skyrim. I did not think they could top Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3, but at least to me Dragonborn edges it out. Another one of my favorites, although it’s quite old is their Little Mermaid medley. The bass and the beat boxer do about 95% of the arrangements, and whoever does the arrangement also does the video editing. Eli, rhymes with jelly, has done at least one arrangement on his own and he also does a lot of the technical work such as their lighting. In the little mermaid, Layne decided to push Geoff out of his comfort range and he has been cast as Ursula the Seawitch which is pretty darn funny. But in Poor uUnfortunate Souls he does a very impressive four octave slide in one word, from D4 to a D1. Geoff , the bass, and Layne, the beatboxer, and Earl the high tenor all started singing together in high school and released their first album in 1997. Yes 25 years ago! Earl left in approximately 2020. And J a year later to join the Navy (but on his very first leave he came back and did a full version of friends on the other side along with two minis.). On the Patreon page they have chats and he shows up from time to time just to say hello before he goes and does watch duty. They’ve had a lot of personnel changes over those 25 years. The biggest ones you’re going to see is Tony the baritone from 2011 to 2016, then J from 2016 till 2021, and Earl leaving in 2020. They still have not filled Earl’s spot, and are using this time off of touring to feature a lot of guest artists. They filled J’s spot with Cesar Delarosa who is their new baritone. Their ACA top tens are always a lot of fun. I know it’s a strange thing to notice but their T-shirts always have to do with the theme. I find myself watching over and over again going what the heck is that T-shirt? Welcome to VoicePlay! They are amazing. And so underrated because they do not have a record label. They’re all self produced so they don’t have a publicity group so they don’t get the love that they should!

I agree with all the suggestions for VoicePlay videos to watch. They haven’t got a bad one in the bunch, and many will surprise you for different reasons. But if you like Disney Villans, you should check out Pattycake Productions. It’s owned by the beatboxer, Layne , and their former baritone, Tony. They started their series, Villians Lair a couple years ago, and after a year off due to Clovis, they’re on season two. All of the music is original, and concentrates on the defeated Villians scheming to make a comeback. The talent, costumes (mostly hand made by Tony) and production quality will have you sure that they are Disney productions. They also have some episodes of the Princess Academy, and their Unexpected Musicals, where they use a contemporary artist to tell familiar fairy tales. ( like the Will.of.Oz, which tells the Wizard of Oz story using music of the Black Eyed Peas.)
