The 'Big Muddy's is a nickname given to the Mississippi River in the South

Great reaction video. Big Whiskey Myers fan here, as you can see from my channel. Just wanted to say, and it’s a very common mistake. The guy singing, his name is Cody Cannon. The guy to his right that played the solo is Cody Tate. They are two of the six members of the band Whiskey Myers. This was an acoustic promo video they done promoting their album Firewater back in 2011.

I'm in love with his voice. My 32 year old boy is chasing crystal in Mississippi. It's really sad because my Son died in a car wreck when he was 21 in a wreck caused by his best friend drunk driving. They had to shock Matthew back four times. He was an atheist. The Doctors told me that he had one of the worst Traumatic Brain Injuries that a person can sustain and still be breathing. They told me that he would most likely never come out of his coma and if he did he would always be in a vegetative state. 6 weeks out I was sitting in the chair beside his bed talking to my 40,000 prayer warriors all over the World. Matthew had been on a feeding tube for 6 weeks in the coma. He said Hey Mom? Can I please have one of those Pop tarts behind you ? I'm starving. I threw my laptop and hit the floor on my knees sobbing. He was an atheist and his best friend and roommate was a Satanist. He said MOM!! I met God in the life flight helicopter. I was floating on the ceiling and the EMTs were shocking me. I was screaming NO STOP !! YOU'RE HURTING ME!! He said that the ceiling opened up and a light came in. He said that God put his arm around his shoulders and said Don't you worry about a thing Son, everything is going to be just fine, you can go back to your body and I will heal your brain. My Son WALKED out of the Hospital 8 weeks to the day of his wreck. He wasn't saved to be chasing a monster in Mississippi to inject into his veins. All I can do is pray. I needed this song at this time on this night. You and he look so much alike it's uncanny. Excellent song and excellent reaction as usual Nick.

It’s so good to see this reacted to again! You’re face to this song … I Sub’d. True musicians remain in Country.

I find the rose to be very fitting. Either tough life brings us to a beautiful ending or a beautiful start can easily be led astray by the thorns in life.

Thanks for reacting Nick In my opinion, there arent enough songs written from the perspective of the person who loves the addict, the person who sees the addict for who they really are. Its a sad subject, but one that so many deal with - relatable to too many. Try some other Whiskey Myers. Its a little more upbeat! Talented group! Glad you enjoyed!

Good song, but I'm a little curious, is there a reason you added this song to the Home Free playlist?
