Love love love this band. Don't know why nobody reacts to them. The band is tight and Karen O is one of the last true rockstar's left, great frontman

Same reason so few react to PJ Harvey. They can’t process their greatness

Yeah I would put their 10 best songs against almost any band. Great balance of pop sensibilities and experimental rock.

Favorite band till I die. First band I ever saw live in 2006. Karen O is a legend no matter what your taste may or may not be. Her energy on stage is unmatched. Even if it’s only a crowd of 400, she brings it all. Much love and respect to this band.

I love this band! Rich, Date With The Night, Maps, Y Control, Gold Lion, Phenomena, Cheated Hearts.... There are so many good songs by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Thank you for the reaction Polo! I love your honesty! This song is from 2009. Maps is actually my favorite song from them. It does have more drums

Yeah I was shocked Maps wasn't the song they went with...

So glad to find someone reacting to this band. Other great songs by them "Gold Lion" and "Slave", but most of their songs are great.

Loooove this band, can't believe how rare reactions are. Gold Lion will always be in my personal top 5 songs, I just love it so much. So epic.

This is a first for me too, i'm getting Chrissie Hynde/Siouxsie vibes from the singer 😍 have heard of them, need to go back and find familiar songs of theirs now 👍

If you’ve never seen the movie “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”-the David Fincher version w/Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, not the original Swedish version-at least check out the opening sequence (here on KZbin); better yet, watch the movie. It’s great, albeit hard to watch at times. Great soundtrack overall by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (nominated for an Oscar), but that intro...a remake of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” sung by Karen O. They definitely picked the right person to sing it; it’s 🔥!

YYY'S were great, they are finally getting back out on tour. they have some great stuff, but they definitely took a dive in my opinion. Tracks like hysteric, black tongue, soft shock... .though i don't think POLO would really enjoy much of it. At least you get an idea of Karen O's eccentric presence in this vid

Chrissie Hynde highly influenced. She even looks a bit like Chrissie. The musical vibe is much different, though. Thanks for this 'introduction', Polo.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are one of my absolute favorite bands and have been for almost 20 years. There are so many great songs. I suggest you do one of their newest songs and videoes next which is the amazing "Spitting on the edge of the world": kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZywkIehobqSd7M

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are great but I have to admit I really prefer their first two albums. They kind went in a more synth-ey sound on this album, which was cool I guess, but the first two albums were straight up noisy rock, hard hitting drums, sick guitar licks. I've seen them live a few times too, they're awesome, Karen O is an amazing presence on stage and Brian Chase is one of my favorite modern drummers.

Yeah I feel like they were one of those bands who evolved to the point they lost what made them special really quickly. It's hard to keep a balance between being stagnant and going too far though. Few bands ever manage it and I think being brave enough to keep evolving is a sign of true creatives so even when it falls apart I can't fault them. Their early stuff was so unique though. Just wild.

You should check out "The Naked and Famous" -- It's unique, ethereal stuff. I like most of it, but "Young Blood" and "Punching in a Dream" are two of their more widely successful tracks.

It’s interesting that there are no, or not very many, spiteful poems but there’s so many spiteful songs.. which makes it worse, publicly performed.. Sadly that puts music and all music industry in a totally different light
