I used to have bad PTSD. The symptoms you describe are exactly what I used to be like. Sitting in corners, counting heads/exits. I was able to find help though. I hope you can find closure and learn to relax in public, im sorry people make us this way. Great content, keep it up.

Yebba is incredible. I’ve been listening to her for years and she’s finally released an album, called Dawn, named after her mother who committed suicide a few years ago. Two weeks after she did this concert at Sofar is when she lost her mother. This video went viral and Ed Sheehan caught wind of her and took her under his wing. She is featured on so many different people’s albums such as Chance the Rapper, PJ Morton, Sam smith, Mark Ronson just to name a few. Even Drake was struck by her brilliance and had her do the intro to his latest album. The intro aptly named Yebba’s Heartbreak. Please react to more of hers. It’s very interesting to see her growth. Evergreen should be next, then Gravity by Clark Beckham ft abbey smith. Yebba is abbey spelled backwards. You will not be displeased. End with her lives and Tiny Desk concert.

She wrote this song for her mom who went through this experience. Her mom had just committed suicide before she sang this song at sofar. So this song has deep roots for her. You should listen to her beautiful song “Evergreen” about her mom as well. It’s so uplifting! In my opinion her talent is up there with Aretha and Adele.💕

OH, Yebba is just astonishing. Why she isn't huge is just beyond me! You definitely should check out her live tiny desk concert. She does 4 songs and they are to die for along with some of the best back up singers I think I may have ever heard! She's worked with so many different people and there is quite bit out there to see from her despite her relative unknown status at the moment. Only singer I know that ever got a grammy before she released an album. P.S. I'm so sorry that you were so deeply damaged by your ex. I hope you find healing and peace.

Yebba has said she'll never record this song because she wants to honor what happened in that room. She describes it as worship. She grew up singing in church and you can definitely hear it. The stuff she came out with in recent months is definitely worth a listen, especially Boomerang--which is kind of the opposite reaction to the same sort of situation.

The thing that gets me the most in this song is something that no reaction channels ever mention. The way she seems to chase after the words when she says "When I work so hard to keep you satisfied, oh". The way she chases the oh part and lunges forward and then immediately pulls back into an almost breaking voice kills me. It's like you want to scream and you say all that you can say and so it's this back and forth between rage and despair. Your emotions are all over the place in that moment. No one ever mentions it, but that simple oh and the way she delivers it is what hits me the hardest in this song.
