omg this is so adorable. Ive visited Australia 20 years ago and sadly saw a lot of horrible things in these parks (like a bird at the entrance to "greet" the visitors, later I found out they usually broke the wings of these birds so they cannot fly away). I hope a lot changed in these 20 years.

It is amazing. But a heads up that you only can hold a koala in Queensland. Sydney is in New South Wales and it's illegal there (random fact we learned on our trip). You can get up close but not hold or even touch.

❌ any animal Mustn’t be touched and handle like this, I recently visited zoo wild in Sydney and the close encounter with them Includes a picture but you don’t touch them at all. All of these things are very true. Luckily, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary does an excellent job of monitoring the koalas to ensure the safety and well-being of both the koalas and the guests. An individual koala is held for a maximum of 30 minutes, they only book the holds the day of, and the number of reservations they take are based on the number of koalas they feel are ready to be held that day. So if a koala is having a bad day, they don't participate. That said, Queensland is the only state that still allows non-handlers to hold them, and they are considering outlawing it there as well. I fully support whatever is best for the koalas but am super grateful I had the chance to fulfill this dream :)

They definitely can be aggressive if threatened. The staff knows which koalas are "people friendly" and are very cognizant of choosing koalas for holding who are having a "good day" and also making sure they don't get too stressed by the activity. Thanks for watching!

А чего эта тетка плачет ? Как будто собственного внука на руках держит. Коалы пока вне ореала обитания где у них дикие драки и борьба за существование очень милы и приятны. Но пусть эта бабушка попрообует приласкать коалу после его драки на дереве с другим коалой. Там надо "запасную руку" иметь. Коалы вполне себе агрессивные животные. Просто тут он спокойный и "в Нирване". Посмотрите на реальных коал в реальной природе. На Ю-Тубе полно роликов. Там все не так сусально - умилительно. Это Природа.
