I don't think Alberta is worth it compared to SK... the Alberta Advantage is gone for wages then cost of living as a FHB is up to your values. You can have rent control in BC and ON and put money towards more secure investments vs having mortgage prices go all over the map then add it the crazy property taxes- less risk renting in ON/AB. Coming from Vancouver and living in Calgary I am planning to move back to a smaller community as rents in Calgary are more than BC in Revy, Victoria, Kelowna etc so there is a huge mismatch now in Calgary- house prices need to go down to make sense to buy. Also private health care like physio, OT, psych is more expensive in AB vs BC, the gym is like 3x more expensive here and the insurance is soooo high. Price to live is cheaper in BC. Don't move here or invest in Danielle Smith's crazy province.

Each city in Alberta are different, Calgary definitely has gotten unaffordable but Edmonton is still very much affordable compared to Calgary.
