My husband thought we would never fight because we had so much in common. We don't fight much now or as I say have disagreements. However, in the beginning things were rough. At one time he said he was not happy. I remember I was driving and I said well neither am I today but its about the long-term and I am looking forward to better days and they did come. 23 years later we are still going strong. Many people say communication is key, but really it’s “good” communication. Two people can be communicating all day long, but if they aren’t on the same page, listening to understand, remembering that they are on the same team, etc, it can lead to some bad communication (misunderstandings). It can take time to communicate well with your spouse, but it’s worth putting in the effort! Happy Anniversary!

Thankfully my husband and I don't have to many disagreements we got all that out of the way the first few years of our relationship LOL we have been going strong for 23 years now and I think we have managed to figure out each other's picking points and we just don't do it LOL I know who he is he's not changing I know who I am I'm not changing so you learn to deal with what you got and accept the person for who they are. My mom told me that my father and her were married for so long because the trick was to find somebody to put up with your b******* and you put up with theirs lol they have since passed away a year apart from cancer but I guess I learned a lot from them about how to be in a relationship.
