Wow... just blown away about this video... I get the feeling India hits your chakra differently!! You're practically glowing Steph! The food looks uuuhmazing! thanks for sharing all those shots. All the video fade in/fade out and transitions in your clips taking up your vlogging up by notches!! I hope you get a lot of India subs because this video really shows what a magical place India is. I love those old trains with the layers of candy color paint too. So charming. So surreal the energy of the place feels different for sure.

You have no idea how much this comment means to us! As you can tell, we love India and we're having so much fun making videos to share with others, but it's always more fun when folks watch and enjoy them, too. 🙃 Thanks for the compliments! There's so much to film in India that it makes my work editing easy. Did you catch our first India vid? The Delhi street food tour. It was really fun to film Old Delhi. You'll have to come visit India some time! Sounds like you're up for it.

@@StephandPete Oh the pleasure is mine!! I'm rooting for you guys for the subs to blow up!!! I don't know if you've ever watched Bald and Bankrupt, but I literally saw his subs grow from 27Kish to hundreds of thousands over a few short months from December to March 3 years ago after he did a whole series in India. I'm guessing all the subs were locals as the comment section was blowing up by Indians. I think Bald would mess around with titles labeled as "India's Toughest Street Gang" and would be about a bunch of children playing the street. Or "Visiting the Thieves Market". And he'd be on video speaking some Hindi or Urdu with the locals. Not sure if that helps but I thought I'd try and be useful. lol!!! As they say in Korea "Fighting"!!!! Have a great week!!

I think alot of people are scared to visit India maybe because it's SO different from what we're used to, and also I think the distance is a little dissuading. But I think it's a country that seems so interesting with so much history and delicious food and that is generally just so fun to explore since it isn't one of the most popular KZbin destinations. I'd love to visit one day, but I'm glad that even if I don't, I can experience places like this a little through you and others. That's why KZbin's so great c:
@StephandPete
@StephandPete Жыл бұрын
It's definitely not for everyone! It's kind of a funny one to be making videos about because I really wouldn't recommend it to everyone in the same way I would a lot of destinations. You certainly have to be up for it (and maybe not a germaphobe.) But if you are-- it's certainly VERY rewarding and wonderful. And yes! KZbin is so great for seeing different places.

Don't get scared. Plenty of Korean Vloggers are visiting India which you check in You Tube. Come out from preconceive notion and biased opinion about India. It's a vast country where landscapes, ethnicity, culture, cuisines, customs, languages, climate changes almost after every 100 kms. Even similar feeling people carry when they visit South Korea, regarding Racism, Xenophobia, etc.

This might be a little late to reply, but just for info, you won't find "Beef" in most of India except Goa, Kerala, might me Karnataka, West Bengal and the 7 North Eastern states only(not sure about Sikkim) . Rest of the country what they call Beef is actually "Buff" / "Buffalo", including in the 5 Stars. Might be in some interior thick muslim area, they might do it illegally. The Kebab is Seekh Kebab and the chunks on the grill were "Tikkis" - small pieces of organs like liver, kidney, tongue etc. Very tasty but very very spicy for your palate. You definitely had it at one of the best places in Delhi. The fritters at Pot Belly were "Sabudana fitters". Sabodana/Sago etc is basically the tapioca pearls, the chewy tiny beads in the fritters. Not sure of the square flat fritter, what it was.
@StephandPete
@StephandPete Жыл бұрын
Thanks for all this great info! We lived in India for two years so are aware of hte ban on beef, but hadn't (as far as we remember) come across something else being called beef on a menu. So glad to hear we went to a good place-- that meal was SO delicious and so inexpensive. We lived in Mumbai and one of our favorite areas was Mohammed Ali Road, where you also get amazing food like this. And thanks for telling us what those fritters were called! It's funny, since we've tried them now, we've seen them on menus more often. Just yesterday we were ate a simple pure-veg place in Prabhadevi (Mumbai) with a MASSIVE menu and they had them. I love that about India-- you can visit here over and over (and even live here) and still discover new foods all the time. Thanks for watching and for the really thoughtful comment! We love when we get to learn from viewers! In Korea especially (where our videos became quite popular) we learned so much from the community. Hoping for the same here, so want to say a big thanks.

@@StephandPete Lets start with this: earlier you ate to live and now you're living to eat. 😜 I've had the chance to go to Md Ali Rd yet (wife doesn't like it), but I'm more of a Delhi boy. In Delhi, a few muslim pockets will have the quintissential kebab wala and one restaurant with that make korma and nihari to be relised with khamiri roti (same as tandoori, but leaven with a little yeast/rising agent). Glad you liked the Naga cuisine. That's the beauty of India. Each of our states are like differnent countries, differing in cuisine and culture with a little over lapping influence in the bordering districts. I'm from Assam and I'm myself yet to try out the cuisines of the different tribes from my own states. As you had pointed out, Pork is heavily eaten in the North Eastern region and Beef is easily found in the Christian majority states of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Mizoram. Infact in your recent post you wrote that you are in Ahmedabad, you'll find the cuisine is little to the less spicy and more sweet and sour oriented. The sweet and sour helps in the arid and hot climate. The original Gujarati Thali restaurant used to be the "Havemor" at Sarkhej Road, but there was a new place (forgot the name) on the Ring road near the Vintage Car museum. Gujarat is mostly vegetarian and have great savoury snakes. Although the mordern restaurant etc do serve non-veg, but traditional non-veg will be found in the "Teen Darwaza" area. Check out "Bhatiyar Gali" (Cooks lane) for a non-veg extravaganza. Enjoy your stay in India. PS:- I'm subcribing and will be a regularly commenting on your India videos.

@@junaid42465 Thanks for subscribing and I look forward to learning more from your comments! tbh, before I was not a huge fan of the sweetness of Gujarati cuisine (though I love Shree Thaker Bhojanalay in Mumbai), but actually, we ate SO well while in Gujurat (currently in Mumbai...reached here yesterday.) The only thing I don't love is the dal being so sweet. We ate a famous thali at Agashiye at the House of MG-- incredible! It'll feature in tomorrow's video.
