Actually, In India , minorities such as Muslims, Christians have more rights/power given by government/constitution. India is only country in the world where minorities have more rights than non minorities hindus. Hindus follow uniform civil code but india also (only country in world) honours muslim's personal law such as more than one marriage, talak..etc. they also have reservation in jobs and college admission etc which is not fair to non minorities. In my opinion, India should have uniform civil code such as USA and Europe and no reservation for anyone. It should be based on 100% merit.

Your title is wrong. He is not Indian Citizen. He is Canada citizen. But he is holder of PIO- card. It means Person of Indian Origin.

@aniketchouhan3772 you are correct. He has taken Canadian Citizenship and that’s why he didn’t have Indian passport now. He clearly told that he is holding Person of Indian Origin (POI) card. And took it out and displayed. What you have seen in his hand is POI card and not passport

You don’t have voting rights etc. it is a “life long visa facility”extended to our diaspora with multiple entry facilities. The card also extends facilities on par with NRIs. You can not undertake any research work in India without further permission etc There are conditions to be met by the registered OCI card holders, if they want to apply for Indian Citizenship. This card is has come into force , I guess, after 2006 and a POI needs to register to get an OCI card. This gentleman in question seems to hold POI card. Either case, he can not be called “ Indian Citizen” But all POIs orOCI card holders are our loving brothers and sisters. 🙏
