What we got up to in this video...
We loved Kyoto it was such a nice day exploring this city and trying some more delicious food. We heard that Kyoto was extremely busy so we were worried it wouldn’t be quiet but it really was and you can easily escape the chaos around tourist attractions.

Kyoto was so beautiful, we had such a lovely time and we were still loving all the Japanese food and eating as much as we could! The ramen being our favourite as it was all delicious! 😍 Over the 20 days we were on the move around Japan we use our JR passes to travel as far as Hiroshima and also up as far as the northern island of Hokkaido to Sapporo! We had the BEST time, but would love any recommendations for anything we missed! Any places or food we should try on our next visit? Awh well that’s quite funny 😂 yes we definitely enjoyed everything we tried in Japan, even the stuff off camera, one of our favourite cuisines for sure! We could have happily had ramen everyday it was so yummy!😍

​@@Onthemovetravelstories Thank you for reply. Looking at the video, it still seems like a cold season. That means you probably isn't in Japan now. If you come to Kyoto again, I recommend you eat "Yudofu" at Nanzenji. I recommend it especially in the cold season. Please come to Japan again.

Okaaay, I’m going to be honest- I love everything about this video except the starbucks thing. Ha! Why support a big chain when Japan is full of cafes, has delicious brews, and baristas who perfect their craft!

Glad you love the video 😊 and we agree, but these drinks were only on sale during the sakura season and they were limited edition so thought it would be something cool to try as it’s only sold in Japan, don’t worry this was the only chain coffee shop we went to as we love supporting local places! @@Onthemovetravelstories and I love to hear that! I frequented starbucks on a daily basis for years, but then I moved to NYC and found a plethora of mom & pop/local ones and haven’t been since. That was back in 2006! You two probably weren’t even born yet 😂

The reactions to the food were great! I'm sure every country has one or two specialties, but I know it's often said that Japanese food in general is delicious, but what do you really think?　 I've never eaten foreign food before, so I don't know what the standards are, so I'd appreciate it if you could tell me!

We loved all the food in Japan it is definitely now one of our favourite cuisines, because we went when it was cold we mainly enjoyed the ramen to warm us up and it was all incredible, but they have so much more to try! There is the main classic dishes to try like ramen, sushi, tempura, onigiri and takoyaki for example. These are just a few we tried, but you can find these anywhere so the more you explore the more you can find new things to try! Any of the food is good and always worth a try, we bet you’d love it all! Thank you for your comment 😁

Can you drink your Starbucks on the go in Japan or do you have to stop and have it like you do with food?

I don’t think it’s as strict as food, we did notice a few people drinking from takeaway cups, but now you mention it I guess everyone was stood still and not walking around 😆

Chukasoba Umiya 海や was the name of the restaurant it’s very near the Inari Bridge and Fushimi Inari Taisha, hope that helps, it was delicious and we really enjoyed our meal there😍 thank you very much 🥰
