Recommendations for Vietnam: When you go to Hoi An make sure you are there during a full moon so you can see the full moon lantern festival on the river. Raya says it was the best day of her life! The old quarter of Hanoi is pretty amazing with so much going on. We thought Halong Bay was one of the most beautiful places (but super touristy). The whole country is great to travel, you can't go wrong. Vietnam is one of our favourite countries to travel.

Thank you so much! And yes, as a big coffee lover myself, I was in heaven. I think Hanoi is the only place in the world where I've had not one, not two, but three types of coffees that are completely unique. And I've tried a lot of coffees. :) If you visit, be sure to try: - coconut ice cream coffee - egg coffee, original inventor is at Giang Cafe in the Old Quarter - Reng Reng cafe, I cannot describe what their coffee is, but I've never had anything so good. The owner has a trademarked secret way of creating his delicious coffee, and whatever it is, it's amazing!

awesome video Jordan did a trip around 1 month in Vietnam favourite places Da Lat ... i call it the magical land in Vietnam...rose gardens and other manicured parks, waterfalls, crazy house (google it), mountain view points, pine forests, lakes, emperor palaces, Vietnamese bbq everywhere, french colonial villas, alpine coaster fun etc etc .... basically it's awesome Con Son island....awesome local island in the south, less commercialised than Phu Quoc with half the island mountainous and awesome cliffside scenery with an actual good clear as beach on the south side and at certain times of the year the surrounding islands you can do trips to see turtles, the seafood is good too, historic prison as well Phong Nga- caves, caves, caves and river, nice mountainous scenery if you bike around the surrounding areas too special mentions as well to Da Nang and surrounds- Monkey mountain is beautiful, Marble mountains is pretty cool well some of the caves and the view from the top, Ba Na Hills with its long cable car and fairy talesque french castle at the top and that hand bridge they just built as well, riverside is nice too, close to Hoi An which is more touristy and commercialised but cute and nice. Not to mention the Hai Van pass is also close by which has the most beautiful mountainous green view and Lang Co beach is 45 minutes away from Da Nang which has a better clearer quiet beach than Da Nang. Ninh Binh and surrounds- beautiful countryside scenery if you bike outside Tam Coc (the tourist hub), cave grotto riverboat rides (many many of them), craggy mountain tops, the largest buddhist temple in Vietnam with awesome views from the top of that tall pagoda and old temples, ancient city etc etc Hue is pretty cool too with some of the imperial tombs which i thought was better than the citadel which i found was ok and there's this cool abandoned water theme park which took a while for me to figure out how to reroute and pass the guards guarding the entrance have an awesome adventure with Livio :)

I was there in January, so many thanks for the nostalgia hit. I recommend Hoi An as well, as it was my favourite place. Hue had some nice things, but check out Da Nang's beach. Ho Chi Min City (The locals prefer Saigon though!) has a great night life and lots of interesting things. If you are back in Ha Noi I recommend going out to Tam Coc to be rowed under mountains by people using their feet - they row about three kilometres there and then back. They call it the Ha Long Bay of the land and there are wayyyy less tourists. Also, Ha Long Bay is better if you do an over night stay - the day trippers clear off. Thanks for all the great memories of places I've been to and interesting things for my travel bucket list!!
