I'm not kind of a youtubefollower, but i like you're way of travelling. Let mi give you small advice- if you want to show something different from Poland (I'm Talking about something different than other youtube-travellers)- JUST GO TO LOWER SILESIA!! It's not far away from Wrocław. Go to Wałbrzych, go to Bardo and try middle- century Bardo gingerbread. Go to Kamieniec Ząbkowicki and explore Palace of Marianne Orange-Nassau- It will blow away youre brains and asses. Just tak the map an choose place.

In Wrocław there is the biggest Polish Zoo, and beautiful park with a lot of colourfully lit fountains.
@Greenlandmaan2 жыл бұрын
Actually the biggest zoo in Poland is Gdańsk Oliwa Zoo. But anyway Wrocław Zoo is definitely the most influential polish zoo. First case is the long history connected with German empire, soviet era (Gucwinski's personality who promoted knowledge about animals in generations of our fathers and grandfathers), second - location in the most atractive area in city close to Odra riverbanks, Centennial Hall complex and beautiful Szczytnicki Park. The last and the most important for me part is that the zoo is still devoloping and is truly angaged in wildlife protection (good example is that previous zoo director dr R. Ratajszczak is working abroad in many research project in Asia, or Dodo organization which origin from this zoo)

Yes. Visit Torun. One of the oldest and original settlement towns in Poland and lots of culture to explore. Cities in Poland are all so different due to being surrounded by other countries. You end up with diverse and mixed culture blending. If you go east Poland is more historically russian whereas Wrocław seems more western and German by influence…. Go down south and it’s more Slovak influenced. Poland is a very mixed country as bordered by 8 countries. 😎👍

Hi there! I am from Wrocław and I do really love the way you showed the city! One story about Tumski Bridge and the padlock dwarf. This place was the most popular place to hang padlocks in the city, because there is a legend, saying that exactly on this place the well-known ruler of Poland Mieszko the First in a.d. 965 proposed to his wife Dobrawa. And there were literally thousands of padlocks. In 2019, during the small bridge renovation/conservation they have to remove all of them, as they were simply too heavy. The construction workers removed all padlocks and measured, that their weight was... over 14,000 kg! Oh, and tiny remark: "kuchnia" in polish means two things - "kitchen" (place) and "cuisine" (the way you cook). So "Kuchnia Ukrainska" stands for "Ukrainian Cuisine" :).
