My youngest son spent 7 months in the NICU after h is birth. We played classical music for him 24/7 and it calmed him and allowed him to get the rest sn sleep he needed. After coming home, we've played classical music for every one of his naps and at bedtime. He is now 19½ years old.

:) My family called it "Dream Music" and I had the ceiling lined in rainbow mini holiday twinkle lights so it glowed and made for easy bedtimes and peaceful dreams and works on the grandkids now!

This is one of the songs I played a few years back to get my ADD/hyperactive to the max grandson to calm down so he could go to sleep. Tranquil classical also helped his brothers become smarter, I fully believe. The oldest has taught himself how to play piano beautifully. Thanks for your reaction to Chopin.

His name is pronounced Show Pan. I played this when I was 12, and I still play it regularly. It puts me in a mood so that I can tolerate the day.

One of my fav instances of Chopin (Show-Pahn phonetically) was in the movie Tombstone. Doc Holliday clarifies what he's playing on the piano: a nocturne by Chopin.

Honestly, despite adopting the French side, he was Polish. So, Chopin might as well be Fathername of old ancestor, pronounced more like Cho - pin.

Check out almost any of Chopin's waltzes for piano. I particularly suggest Grand Waltz Brilliante #18. For some 'shred' classical piano, check out 'Souvenir of Andalusia' by Louis Gottschalk.

I know you just do music on your channel, but if you were to expand to movies (or even just watch it on your own), you could check out Disney’s Fantasia & Fantasia 2000. They are the epitome of setting images to music. Some are actual stories & some are just ideas but both movies do a great job of introducing folks to classical music.

Something to consider for your instrumental reviews: Disney put together two movies called Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 where animators illustrated instrumental music. There have been others that have followed suit. You might enjoy them.

If you want to listen to 2 gorgeous and very dramatic pieces of music try Rachmaninov's (or alternative spelling, Rachmaninoff. Its Russian) Piano Concerto #2 and George Gershwin's, Rhapsody in Blue. Chopin also wrote a beautiful Concerto #2. This is MUSIC that makes the hair on your arms stand up, your throat tighten and your spirit soar. They are probably too long for a reaction, so this is for you.

I recommend any of his 4 ballades (I like 3 the most, 4 is probably the most acclaimed one, 2 has my favorite ending out of all of them, and 1 is the one that first got me interested in his music and is probably the most accessible so there aren’t any misses really). The ballades are a lot crazier/more interesting/more varied/more exciting and sadly not many people have reacted to them and I would love to see yours. Also, the other nocturnes are really good as well. 😛😛😛😛😛

A reaction recommendation: In 1973, Barry Manilow wrote and sang a wonderful song called "Could It Be Magic" which he based on a Chopin prelude. It became a Billboard Top 10 hit and one of Manilow's best compositions in his long career (Barry still records, tours, and has a Vegas residency). Please react to the original, full version of the song which you can find on KZbin. It runs for 6:49 and appears on the white cover album named "Barry Manilow". It will be a great tie-in to the reaction you've done here. Thanks!

This Chopin's most famous nocturne but it's SO FAR from being his best nocturne. And the nocturnes are FAR from being the best pieces he wrote, besides maybe a couple. This is tranquil and light, for a different darker and dramatic side of Chopin you should listen to the Ballades, either number 1 or 4
