I usually don't listen to radio (mostly just metal and electronic music) but one winter morning about ten years ago I was driving my commute home from a night shift and the battery was out in my phone so I put on the radio. Pop station was playing some garbage so I ended up on the local station that played some local folk band I knew... then this song comes on next and I'm so taken by the song I have to concentrate to hear if the DJ would say the name of the band and the song afterwards. I stoppe so I could write it down. Been a fan ever since.

These are two sisters from Stockholm that have made an impact in folk pop. At young age (about 12) they were introduced to country and found music like Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. They wrote a song called "Emmilou" about her and Gram Parsons and in 2015 they were honored to perform that song in front of Emmylou Harris, as she received the Polar Music Prize. Here's that moment from the televised gala: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2S3q4NjpJmpntU

I see that "Emmylou" (from the Polar Music Prize) has been suggested already, but I would like to add their cover of Emmylou's "Red Dirt Girl" from the same performance. Both hit right in the feels.

The Polar Prize performance of Red Dirt Girl still stands as my favorite FAK cover. Simply stunning.

Thought I would take this moment to thank you for your reaction to these two wonderful sisters. Had the pleasure to see them live in Boston and was blown. Now, there is a young lady 16 years old from the Netherlands you may wish to react to. Her name is Emma Kok and last year she performed Voila with Andre Rieu. Original video and listen to his intro. Then several weeks ago she performed a new song Dancing on the Stars. Original video with Andre Rieu again. She is amazing and her story is very interesting.❤️❤️❤️

The Lion’s Roar (song) a widely interpreted to be a rebuke against western religion. The Lion’s Roar features heavily in Buddhism and is thought to be a sign of the deepest type of happiness despite outward adverse events. So she’s singing abour rediscovering happiness from years gone past after losing her faith maybe?

Go to Tommy Johansson's YT and listen to him when he sings covers on, among other things, abba qeen gary more and others. He sings like a god, plays all the instruments himself. Just quit Sabaton as a guitarist and also has his own band majestica. Fantastic person
