FIRST TIME LISTENING TO LADYTRON - Faces (BRITS REACTION)

I've seen them live twice - and they are amazing. They play with a full band - guitar / bass / drums and two synths. It's a pretty raw sound - but still has that late 70's early 80's vibe. Their first album is very Kraftwerk inspired.

Check out those dad moves! Er, DANCE moves, I mean, obviously... Definitely an 80's throwback, and I'm here for it. Very Pet Shop Boys, which of course I love (I saw them live back in the day, in an absolute dive in Newport. Happy days!) Nice pick, Safwan! Oh! Somebody mentioned an artist called 'Ren' in the comments a few weeks ago, and I kept seeing reaction videos pop up for it. Curiosity got the better of me and I watched 'Hi Ren'. Very out of the box, and it intruiged me enough to read the comments. Very interesting guy. The song (or songs, actually) everyone raved about was 'The Tale of Jenny and Screech', which is actually a trilogy of songs if you watch the full version. It's got some f-bombs in there (and other bad language) but it's absolutely only there for authenticity. Honestly, this British young man is a lyrical genius. He's got some guitar skills, too. Not sure whether you would like him or not, but after binge watching reactions to the song trilogy yesterday, the general consensus is he's brilliant. Very powerful storytelling. He's like a mixture of a medieval minstrel, Suggs from Madness, and Eminem.(!!) Anywho, just thought I'd mention it 🙂

@EnderOllie 4 We thought you may appreciate those moves 😆 That was a bit of an 80's banger. Thanks for the head's up on "Ren" I did notice that Justin Hawkins was doing a feature on his YT channel, so figured if it's good enough for him, we should add it to the list and get that recorded soon. As for the absolute dive in Newport, could you narrow that down a bit, so many to choose from 😉

@BritPopsReact sheesh, it was 30 years ago now, I can't remember where I was last week half the time! 🤣 Ren is definitely worth reacting to. I'm assuming you'd start with 'Hi Ren', but if you ever react to 'The Tale of Jenny and Screech', then you'll need some duct tape to attach BP1 to his seat as it's around 14 minutes long (keep the duct tape, as the leftovers can be used for whenever you get to PTX's PopSpring 🤣🤣🤣). Some reactors split the full version into three reactions, but on a first listen you HAVE to listen to them together and in sequence, or the impact will be different. He has the full version on his channel. Oh, and copyright won't be an issue either. He's stated that if any reactor gets a strike, appeal it and he'll pass it. He enjoys reactions to his stuff and comments on quite a few that he's seen. I only heard Ren three days ago, and I'm a Stan. Absolutely phenomenal artist. A poet, rapper, guitarist (VERY good), great singer, PLUS the visuals in his videos are great. Pretty sure everything he posts is a one take live performance, too. Honestly, I can't say enough about him. He's fabulous. And!! He's a Welsh lad! I'm sold. 😊

Ok, I thought I'd hate this but I don't! I kinda like it , Chuey left the room but Hank hung out for it. YES, B1!
