New Radicals "You Get What You Give" takes me back to 1998. Sometimes seemingly disposable pop bops are better than they get credit for. This one definitely aged well. I was at Hard Rock RockFest held at the Atlanta Motor Speedway back in 1999 when they were supposed to play, but broke up right before the show. I was and am still incredibly bummed. Luckily the rest of the lineup was incredible. The twelve-hour festival featured sets from the Offspring, Live, Third Eye Blind, Everlast, Eve 6, Better than Ezra, Sugar Ray, Silverchair, Collective Soul, Marvelous 3, Live, Taxiride, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Citizen King played in place of The New Radicals. It. Was. Incredible.

If you want a rock legend when it comes to vocals, Dio is your guy. Ronnie James Dio had one of the most powerful voices in music, and his band is great too. Holy Diver, Stand Up and Shout, Rock and Roll Children, Sacred Heart, King of Rock and Roll, Rainbow in the Dark - all great songs. It's really hard to go wrong with Dio. There are plenty of songs that I'm not in the mood to listen to often, but they're still great music.
