I listened to a strokes song when I was 15/16 but I wasn’t really into it. I guess it wasn’t supposed to be part of my musical journey just yet. Over the years I had different phases, Blink-182, KoL, Linkin Park, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink floyd, and everything and anything else you could think of. Finally, after being so in love with music, I wanted to learn to play the electric guitar, as listening wasn’t enough for me. Then, at the end of summer in 2019, I came across some strokes songs and I fell in love. You only live once & undercover of darkness I think it was. I then fell into each album beginning with Is this it all the way through the Future present past. I fell in love hard and they instantly became my favorite band. It was like the music gods made me wait until I heard all the different genres and bands and then finally gifted me the strokes. I was so happy when this dropped in 2020! I’ve listened to all kinds of hip hop, rock, rap, and anything else you can think of. No matter what, I always come back to the strokes. My favorite band ever. LOVE this song.
