First Time meeting a Reaper Leviathan in Subnautica

First time being attacked by a Reaper Leviathan in Subnautica. Reaper Leviathans in Subnautica are frightening! This was from my Subnautica first playthrough. Please tell me how your first experience with an aggressive Leviathan went! Is this usually the one people find first? The Reaper Leviathan is too scary!

@@AstroAnieit can be either the most dangerous way to kill a reaper, or the safest, depending on if you have the stasis rifle or not

kill it with gas pods and stasis rifle, finish it off with the thermo blade, whole process after finding the reaper takes less than 2 minutes to kill it

Easiest way to kill a reaper is just to ram it full speed with the seamoth💀

@@AstroAnie trying to scam the reaper is safer with a stasis rifle - later game and no seamoth because he will crush it instantly so when you get the stasis rifle shoot it scan then shoot and scan and keep on repeating

Damn thing kept pissing me off so I buried it ten feet under with the Prawn. ….Now if that Sea Dragon gets on my nerves once I get down there, oh boy is the Lava Zone gonna get more redder than it is already. Sorry, those Leviathans just piss me off. The Repear though, fuck that I’m dipping.

So I’m currently playing subnautica rn and every time I go to the aurora there’s always a reaper who pretends that it’s stuck so whenever I go there there’s one there who looks stuck but when I go in front of it the reaper starts moving then I start having a panic because I know I’m doomed

@@AstroAnie yeah whenever I went close to mine it would get unstuck I’d back off far enough and it’d get stuck in the same place I even had the guts to go behind it but not to close I’ve also got a base at the verrrryyyyy back of the aurora where the booster thingys are and I’ve built a bit underwater with a glass top on one of the buildings so I can just sit and taunt the reap that’s there even it gets stuck on my base because it likes to jump outta water

My first time I was at the back of the aurora and I was on one of the small patches of land next to the engines and I went down barely into the water and back up a few time each time I heard small splits of the roar and I had just barely turned and it was right in a shallow area clipping into the ground and I was trying to figure out what I was seeing and then it killed me in an instant

I had a very similar encounter. I was in that shallow area bear the land, and I didn't even know these things existed yet. I panicked and abandoned my seamoth, but then it ended up flying into the air about the height of 3 auroras tall. I didn't know this was a bug, I only got a quarter of a scan off and fled. Since then, I've basically trying to hype myself up anytime I go beyond the kelp forests, and I'm very afraid of this game. Yet I must continue.

The reason why the leviathan was struggling to actually chase you is probably because reaper leviathans use an echolocation type of roar to hunt, so it couldn't really find you.
