Another awesome video! I've seen several videos about reviving musky and each have different tactics. Some say don't "swim" em to allow water to flow through the gills and others do it. I read an article that was sent to me that another method or component to reviving musky is to "burp" them. What they mean is while holding the fish in the water, start squeezing the underside from the tail to the mouth to help release any air that may have been trapped. I've never seen it done and haven't tried it myself but if it revives the fish and cuts down the time it takes I don't see how that could hurt. Keep em coming man!

Fascinating. I've heard of fizzing bass, but never burping muskies. I'll have to look into that, because it makes sense considering it wanted to turn belly up on me.

Nice muskie. You did what you can, you didn't do anything wrong.

Maybe instead of taking a Pic. A quick release would have been the better choice.

I’ve heard you don’t need to pull them backwards it’s the same concept as keeping their head in the current and into the wind and upright. Pulling them back and forth so aggressively is essentially drowning the fish so to speak. GL in the future.

I’ve come to hear that as well. I’m still finding mixed feedback on that technique
