I love that Carlos Ortiz investigation because if you explain the crime with the wrong answers, Hank will correct you, which means he already knows what happened before Connor did. Proves how good of a detective he is.

Doesn't really make sense for him to know before Connor when 1. He doesn't have software that shows finger prints and didn't see everything that Connor could be looking at if Connor doesn't listen to the briefing and 2. Dialogue suggests Connor was faster if you don't listen

@@vailingbow1068 Probably been doing this for so long that he has a natural intuition for these things. Hank has experience over Connor that allows him to infer things just from similarities to previous cases. For example, in the upcoming Eden club investigation, Hank already knew the victim was strangled from a look, whereas Connor had to scan the body. These are things you pick up on with experience and time with the force. And when they were stuck with no leads on finding the deviant in the club, it was Hank who suggested looking for an eyewitness to Connor. tldr: Hank is a pretty damn good detective with lots of experience. Connor has the technology and Hank's got the experience and good detective intuition. This is why they make a great team.

@@wuttatota148 Sure, you have a point, but there's literally no reason for Hank to know some of the things here. The knife used to kill Carlos, Hank wouldn't have been able to see that the grip has no fingerprints. Hank also says the killer could've escaped from the back yet he was wrong.

@@vailingbow1068 I don't see how knowing that the knife has no fingerprints prevents Hank from knowing what happened between the victim and the suspect. The victim clearly has stab wounds, so whoever the suspect is, clearly stabbed him with the knife. Then there's the bat that clearly has been used, and there are clearly no blunt force trauma/bruises on Carlos, so it wasn't the suspect that wielded the bat, it was Carlos. Lots of things that Connor concluded can be concluded by a human just by looking at evidence. The way the scuffle went down can also be deducted by the marks around and the state of the furniture around the house, etc. Also, the android involvement was already pointed out by Hank saying no human could write the letters as perfectly as the one on the wall. He didn't need to know the knife had no fingerprints to know an android was the one involved. Basically what i'm saying is that it's possible to infer what happened without Connor's fancy technology. It just makes Connor's deductions more exact and accurate. Idk why you want to downplay Hank so badly. Honestly, the only thing Hank couldn't figure out is where the android went because he can't see evaporated Thirium

Fan Fact: This game was made because of a tech demo the studio did back in 2012. The character and actress starred in the main role of an Android who became sentient during assembly. Everyone who saw it wanted to know more about her story and what came next. So, seven years later, we got this. There is an Easter egg within the game about that demo.

If my memory serves me right the android was also named "Kara" back in that 2012 tech demo 😊 I remember seeing that all those years ago! And got hyped when this came out in 2018 knowing they had to be related and wasn't it also a tech demo to show the advanced graphics of the PlayStation 3 back then?

General tip, you can hit pause to have more time on any options. Using it all the time takes a lot of the fun out of quick decisions, but for major decisions it's nice to be able to talk about it Connor had a pretty strong start here with not investigating everything but still being able to save Emma. Though, the compromise would have kept Connor from dying since Daniel likes the middle ground better than being told "no" when he's in such a fragile state already. Granted, you already know Connor can come back so that's good info too. Also love that you guys already knew Clancy Brown voiced Mr. Krabs xD Kara...hasn't really gotten into much yet. I appreciate yall doing all the chores in the house, it's very satisfying. Also it helps to get more scenes with Alice and how her life is. I've probably seen like 50 playthroughs of the game and can't remember the last time I saw someone try to reason with Todd. Most people immediately say that's a bad idea and run upstairs lol Glad that Kara and Alice made it out though, there's tons of ways they can both die in that chapter. Granted taking the gun guarantees that Todd will get to Alice first and die upstairs so you don't get the downstairs fight or any of the scenes of trying to run away with Alice without fighting at all Markus...has a slow start but will be deserving of that cover image soon. Love his relationship with Carl and sad to see Carl die (yes, he can live if Markus pushes Leo) but the scene of Markus calling Carl Dad is just too good to be mad about Carl's death either. As for Carl and Leo's relationship, Carl had Leo with a fan and after his birth he didn't see him until he was 16. That's a long time for Leo to not feel loved and build up a grudge - just for Markus to get the love he'd always wanted

also, for clarification with Carl's death, so read at your own curiosity but Carl doesn't always die. He does always die if you chose to obey Carl's order but if you chose to defend yourself Carl doesn't die.

EDIT: You mentioned that Conner was willing to choose the law over other androids, but the game is indicating with the lack of player choice in that section that he doesn’t have the ability to choose, or at least that’s how I’ve always read it. Both Kara and Markus didn’t even have the option to go against orders until they broke the barrier that stops them from doing so.

Connor couldve either lied about the Gun and used it to shoot the Deviant , he couldve pushed the Deviant, He couldve grabbed the girl or stalled and got the Deviant away from the ledge until the Sniper shot the Deviant

Regarding magnetism with technology like metal chips, I'd think it'd be doable- surgical implants, things like hip replacements- these are MRI compatible. And plenty of pacemakers have a 'mode' to MRI compatible that can be activated. So yeah that could be done I have no doubt.

I played this game upon release, and the graphics were crazy back then as well. The key to this game is to try and learn all you can from each environment so you can get the best ending possible. Also, Conner's death in the beginning was planned for, although you could get multiple endings. However; don't begin to think you're safe by any means. You can lose one, if not all 3, at any time.

The cool thing about this game is that since there’s such a crazy amount of options and paths, no two gameplays are the same! Obviously take your time to observe and hunt around the environment so you can experience as much as possible but this is one of those games people get really invested in. So yeah ignore people telling you how to play 😅 You do you! Get your own unique story! Either way I’d love to see you guys continue this one.

This game is so fun and I love their reactions. I just wished they could go back maybe to explore the couple small scenes they have missed🥲 This game is incredible especially when fully explored like completing a puzzle by piecing all the small puzzle pieces together. Makes the ending more satisfying when all objectives and scenes are completed. Especially Markus’s scenes in the beginning.

It's not recommended to replay the levels till you finish the game but don't be afraid to redo it! The last one can be much different ! And your search was wrong. Carl CAN live. And YOU decide if conner turns deviant or not.

Detroit is considered one of the first of the gaming industries kind with how they brought the modern graphics and cinematic feel to games. The last of us and detroit were the ones that kick started this look to games. There's a reason it's so old yet still looks so gorgeous and so similar to most games these days. They took their sweet ass time putting in the details and it really has paid off in the long run. Fingers crossed after this Until Dawn remake we'll be getting the detroit one soon 😫

Most harrowing moments of my life were sneaking around him and fucking trying to unlock that door bc he got us. You should totally keep playing, I love this game despite its flaws
