You kind of need to in 8sorc setup especially if you gonna fit 6costs in like that, without the Elise his frontline would just be Vlad 2, Swain 2 and 3blackrose Sion and he would get overrun before his Sorcs can get their 2nd/3rd casts off, that's your win con in 8 sorc, if you stall enough for your Zoe 2, LB 2 they will usually melt everything by their 3rd cast. + Zoe with 8 sorc does just insane amounts of damage with the added benefit of being able to reach the backline.

Elise has to hold the emblem which takes up a slot while Zoe can hold 3 items. Also Elise without items is a still great tank while naked Zoe adds nothing

zoe for consistency. elise situational for sure. nothing wasted/piercing lotus backline elise with 8 sorc is about as capped as it gets where the rounds go for 5 seconds.

His whole setup was kind of weird to begin with, I don't think it was just the kogmaw, not having that +1 chem(at least I know kog would be bis obv but still) on mundo is kinda trolling imo, especially if you going for experiment bonus but you don't give mundo the chembaron for free health and then he has a random rumble, his items are also all over the place. I think he just tried to cook way too hard
