This pool you have was our first pool too. It was on sale for 295. It made it 4 years until one of the windows started leaking. Now, we've upgraded to a hard wall 33ft. I really enjoyed that pool though! We learned a lot from that Coleman! Ahhh, nostalgia!

Oh wow!! Yea ours is still going strong, was actually thinking about doing a follow up video four years later to show how it’s holding up. Appreciate you watching!!

Update on the pool? Any new products you use? How’s the pool holding up?
@RealKennyGTVАй бұрын
It’s funny you asked that, I was just telling my buddy the other day I need to shoot a follow up video since it’s been a few years since I uploaded this one but I’ll spare you the wait. The pool is still up, still crystal blue and the only thing that has changed really is I’ve started leaving it up year round. The first year or two I drained it and put it away but last year I ended up just cleaning and closing it and covering it with a pool cover, it made opening it this spring very easy. Chemicals are pretty much the same but I won’t lie to you, all I really ever use anymore is the liquid chlorine and the chlorine pucks. I may add a little algaecide every other month or so but just using the chlorine and making sure to keep it cleaned out has worked wonders for me. Appreciate you watching and commenting, hope all is well with you

I've also never had a pool in my life. Currently filling my first pool now. Already I can see some floor wrinkles, is that really a big deal? My posts are not on slabs. I did put some sand, it's not really perfectly level. I'm scared, what if I can't handle it? How much maintenance are we talking about, like an hour a week or few times a day? Thanks for the video! It's reassuring and gets to the point.
@RealKennyGTV Жыл бұрын
The only down side to the wrinkles are dirt and debris gets trapped in them so you have to make sure you’re brushing or sweeping them out, that and some people don’t like the how the wrinkles look. Honestly, we don’t mind them at all, I tried to kick them all out this year and still ended up with some down there, it’s not the end of the world though. Your posts not being on pavers tho, that’s usually not a good thing to do, just because the weight of the pool causes those posts to settle and with the rain they can start sinking into the ground causing your pool to become unlevel. The maintenance isn’t really that bad at all, I’ve had ours a couple years now and I usually just try to be diligent about skimming the water everyday, cleaning the filter once a week, and making sure there’s chlorine in it. The filter pump needs to run at least 8 to 10 hours a day as well too, definitely want to make sure that water is circulating and not just sitting there for long periods at a time. I hope this helps you, I’m by no means a pool expert so feel free to youtube around, there’s a ton of great channels dedicated to pool maintenance, Swim University is a pretty good one, I watched a lot of their videos when we first got ours. Good luck, and try not to stress, having a pool is supposed to be FUN!!!

It really looks fantastic Kenny, I'm really impressed! In NC it is SO buggy, I had to have a vacuum to keep the bottom clean. Yours looks brand new after two months. What is the plan for winter? Very very great job!

Gregg's Vintage Workshop Thanks Gregg, I probably will invest in a vacuum next year but I actually kept it pretty clean without one. I’m planning to take it down this year so I can do a better job of putting it up next year!!
