That was brilliant to watch! Nice to have the two views available and your car seems so good to drive round there. That track makes me think of the old BTCC console game, used to get quite a few laps done. This was way better. Well done on your finish position and managing the technical issues, seems they happen no matter what motorsport it is.

Thanks Joey! Appreciate it. Yes at first I thought I was screwed when the dash switched off but I thought a) go cautious on the pit stop for the speed limit and b) switching the engine fan on straight away just incase I was running hot, at least it gives me a buffer. Then just knuckle down with the race! Car definitely felt good round there. Would love more power though!

@@JamesWilson234 the things we dont have to worry about in our road cars, turning the fan on. Do you have the option of a backup separately from a spark plug as a second system? I used to have a rev counter on my motorbike linked in to the spark plug as it didnt come as standard and worked very well, even had a back light. Fancy stuff ☺️

Great racing at the start, super calm considering how close the car was behind, if it wasn’t for the outside view you wouldn’t even know! Combe looks electric to race at 🔥🔥

Thanks Liam! I really told myself to knuckle down and relax into that stint. Quickly work out where he is quicker and position the car defensively there, then figure out where you're quicker and have full forward focus to build a gap, not be looking into the mirrors. Seemed to work! Rear facing camera will return for Oulton as I cannot bear missing out action like this anymore! How are your track exploits going?

A good video, I had the same thing happen with my dash at the same place on circuit.

Is it just the kerb loosening a wire in the back? I haven’t diagnosed yet. Too hot in the garage!
@lewisbirdmotorsport84052 жыл бұрын
@@JamesWilson234 yes that’s all mine was. The compression on that kerb is brutal and shakes everything to bits

Would love to know what sort of power you are getting out of the 180 to get that sort of lap time?

@@JamesWilson234 was expecting a bit more than that. Take it that's running Throttle bodies? Also noticed how long your forth gear is. I'm normally changing to 5th just at the start line and along hammerdown
@JamesWilson2342 жыл бұрын
@@marchelme No throttle bodies, engine is standard with custom ECU and map. 4th gear is definitely long in that car!
