You need to check this out live. Their concerts and MAMA performances are... incomparable. Especially "Crush" live performance! I think it's during one of those that Bom loses one of her absurdly high heels and continues to dance without it. And yes. It means "I am the best"!!!! 2ne1 pretty much made the Girl Crush style of music.

Honestly, I really don't know who started this "they're ugly" sht. I always thought that YG only said that to cl to tease her during their rehearsals. It was more like they weren't "cutesy pretty" like everybody else in the industry at their time, they were more like "badass pretty". 🤷‍♂

Nope. YG said it to all of them and he meant it, due to the standards of the time. And then he tanked the support Blackpink would have gotten from 2ne1 fans by calling the "2ne1 but pretty". Why the hell you would do that just from a business perspective, I don't know. YG has consistently shown in ability to handle multiple girl groups well.
