Listen to "Fernando." It always takes a piece of my soul. In fact, listen to all of their golden hits. No one like them out there. If you watch videos of their concerts from back in the day, you will see the love they have for their craft, and the pure joy they had for performing for their audience. They are simply inimitable.

I just Love Your ABBA reactions - and I guess You have discovered their Magic Song writing skills. It's as if they found the Holy Grail of Pop song writing, or should I say Compositions, 'cause thats what their Multi layered Music is - Compositions. You must listen to their Live Concerts also, that's where they really branch out on stage and their Energy flow over to the Audience like a massive Wave of Common Love for their Unique Music ! OK - I'm partial, I'm Swedish and I even had the privilegue of seeing ABBA live as early as 1975 just when their Career was about to Kick start. Great song from a great group. ABBA is a Swedish group from the 70s and 80s. And to say they were huge is an understatement. They have sold over 400 million records. Only the Beatles have sold more. They were 2 married couples. Anni-Frid aka Frida or Annie is the auburn haired girl and married the pianist Benny. Agnetha is the blonde girl who married the guitarist Bjorn. That's where the name ABBA comes from, the initials of their first names. The girls took turns on lead vocals each with an incredible voice but nobody could harmonize like Frida and Agnetha. It was often called ABBAs third voice. Oh and they didn't speak English until later . Some other great hits of theirs, "Fernando" "Dancing Queen" " Name Of The Game" thanks and take care

Yes the guys were better with languages especially Bjorn . Frida did ok but you can really hear the accent. They decided to sing in English because it was the largest market not because they spoke it.. It was a smart move..They also have songs in Spanish and later German.

@@Vikinggirl1679 yes, I know the story of your choice of language to sing and that they still kept their Scandinavian accent (thank GOD) and as a Latino I also especially listened to ABBA sing in Spanish In fact, in my comment I am saying that "Chiquitita" was an unprecedented success for ABBA in Latin America, as a result of which they began recording in Spanish.

@@wildcard04 Back at the time ('70s/early 80s )a part of prejudiced narrow minded music journalist tried to convince the public that Abba was just commercial crap,digestible pap that will be soon forgotten and no one should take them seriously and respect. them.We fans got bulled for liking them.But now i'm so Glad they've been proved wrong.Abba are real survivors.

Love this song, the lead single from their 1979 album Voulez-Vous. It managed to reach no 2 in the UK which wasn’t bad as at the time the charts were flooded with Disco songs. ABBA donated all the royalties to this song to UNICEF as 1979 was the Year Of The Child. They also appears on the UNICEF concert along with many other big stars of the time

(and Mamma Mia tomorrow, great!) all of ABBA's #1s in the UK are different, and impeccable and don't forget "Waterloo", their first big worldwide hit, but in this special case look for the Eurovision 1974 winning live performance, it's iconic!
