@@evilferret1453 racism is not about words it's about context, oppression and who says to whom. Whites might face bigotry but as they never been oppressed and enslaved or hung for been white there are no words or acts that can reproduce this oppression. I grew up in rural Australia and I was beaten constantly for refusing to partake in segregation the whites that beat me were racists the indigenous that beat me weren't, neither were right. Loan breakdowns and school admissions clearly show racism does still exist as do arrest rates and deaths in custody. Higher crime rates are proof of higher oppression not racial affinity to anarchy.

If you think any race is different or better than any other just because of whatever color of skin they happened to be born with, you are just straight up racist. Do you know anything at all about history besides a small part of what happened in a new country a few generations ago? I hope you are just trolling, otherwise you are a bigot. The open mind to hear the real message is necessary for a song like this. The biggest line for me was when he said, "They pin us against each other, sit back and they watch it happen" meaning the powers that be, the politicians and media use those words without using them, to keep everyone at each other's throats and separated. Adam is a real one though. Him and his best friend used to travel from the suburbs to the hoods of Chicago to battle rap. They were the only white boys and they got al lot of respect for having the balls to do something like that. Adam's been to prison and had no problem fighting anyone. A few years ago there was a rapper talking alot of smack about Adam, he'd whoop his ass yadda yadda. Adam doesn't do internet beef. He did however post that he bought the dude a plane ticket, rented him a car and got him a hotel room so he could come to Michigan and fight Adam in the Muay Thai gym he trains at wiyy no cameras inside so it could be just them two, man to man, no one jumping in, no knives or guns. Up until that moment dude was the General of the Keyboard Commandos. He backed out and made excuse after excuse why he couldn't come. Everyone online saw this dude b*tch out and that was the end of his up and coming rap career. He hasn't been heard of since. BUT there's something sad about this video. The man the camera showed when Adam said the line "All you do is smoke weed" the guy rolling the blunt, his name was William Pickering, a rapper also known as EBE Bandz and Billy Da Kid. There was a drug deal gone wrong and he was kidnapped, beaten with a baseball bat and set on fire. His body wasn't found for two weeks. All the suspects were convicted and sent to prison except for the ring leader. He skipped bail right before trial started and hasn't been seen since. He was convicted absentia. Adam wanted to help out the family so he paid for William's funeral.

comment before watching. This one is hard for some people to watch, which I get. I actually wish there was some way to prevent people from seeing/hearing it until they had a lot more exposure to Adam. This is also the reason Tom Macdonald originally hated Adam... the first time they talked on the phone it was apparently just them screaming at each other.... eventually they became friends, understood each other, end eventually did an entire album together. You know a song is controversial when Tom Macdonald is upset by it. VERY curious to see if you understand the message, or get caught up in the words. OH.... also, that's Adam's Caddy in the video. Just a weird "things you probably didn't know" _ And... you nailed it. That it DEFINITELY supposed to be jarring, but at the end of the day these slurs are all the same thing.... in many ways they even mean the same thing as for are the issues that hit that community... and yes, more than anything..... That IS his experience.... again, that's his Caddy and growing up near chicago... he's certainly not your average "White Trash" as he had far more exposure to black culture than some hillbilly. -- NOTE: I am with Tom here.... I don't like this song at all, though I really like some of Adam's other songs and his joints with Tom. To be quite honest, I don't really like any song by any artists of any race that uses that word... so, yeah.

I think Adam brought it like Joyner Lucas might. However, he hit it harder and as you said to jar us all a little bit so that we pay closer attention. The thing that makes me happy is watching reaction videos from people of all communities offering their take on content that could otherwise be taken offensively, or as an anthem. It is all contingent on who is parading it and how they interpret it. I love Adam's music, I love his authentic and honest way of speaking his truth. I am glad to watch your reaction video and am grateful that you took the time to try and understand it the way someone who looks like me does. At the end of the day, we are all human. At the end of the day, we all have a plight, and we all have a goal in this life and I hope that through content like this that exposes the truths of mankind, we can get ourselves set right.
@lBadSport Жыл бұрын
you are 200% right about us being human and us needing to work together but wrong on every other part. Adam TRIED to do what joyner did but did it much worse and in fact showed that he’s actually racist asf. He went much harder on the black communities and even said the n word more than cracker itself. and no we do not all go through the same struggles, white people have had it easier for the most part due to the build up they’ve had throughout generations while black/hispanic people are just now being able to build their generations. Now, its not a bad thing that white people have it easier at all, im happy for them. But we need it too but can achieve it alot easier if we are helped systematically and economically. the confederate flag is also a good sign for being a racist and adam clearly shows it. Though I do appreciate the love you show
@jdfielding4236 Жыл бұрын
@@lBadSport I could insist that the notion of white privilege is false, but in doing so, it would only be dissected in a way that says being part of that alleged privilege, I can't see it. If white privilege exists, it only exists in the liminal space of culture itself. Ironically, he points this out in the music by highlighting the terminology of "redneck" vs "hillbilly" or "n word" vs "black folks" - he didn't go harder on the Black community, but he did something most white artists would never do. I think in doing this, it felt harder for some people...white and black. He didn't touch on other cultures, because other cultures aren't polarized the same as white and black. White and Black communities seem to be these ruling classes, and latino, and asian populations (asian including countries people don't think about as asian as well) will collectively surpass those two groups as they are doing now in the world of business and technological advancements. Why? Because whites and blacks are too hung up on the perceived differences that have been bred into the two communities through other ruling class hierarchy of their own race groups.
