Being a good lyricist doesn't make you a better singer, and to be a good singer you don't need to be a good lyricist either. Ik that the guy on the comment used the broad term 'artist' which can be used for many different skills (drawing, dancing, singing, etc.). But I'm pretty sure he meant it as a 'singer' in this context.

As far as I remember, her name exploded last summer since One Piece RED tracks came out and soon after the tracks were all out this dropped. It was as though she was saying "Actually this is my field."

Addo quickly became my favorite of all time, it is why I always recommend "God-ish" and "Crime and Punishment" to people. "Crime and Punishment" for her vocal range and "God-ish" for her vocal agility, while "God-ish" is made by layering her voice cause not even Ado can switch that fast (yet?), these two covers really showcase a lot of her talent. Ado can really do it all, one of her newer songs you haven't done is "Dignity" and it's so beautiful I think you would love it. I also recommend "Readymade" and "Ashura-chan"

There is a reason why she has arrived at this overwhelming power of expression and range of sound. In the Japanese music scene, she is a "UTAITE". The literal translation in English is "singer," but it has a different meaning from "kashu" as it is commonly used in contemporary Japan. Originally, a singer is a person who sings a song written for a human singer. A "UTAITE," however, is a talent who dares to sing songs that are intended to be sung by Vocaloids such as Hatsune Miku, but sings as a human. Vocaloids are instruments that sing like humans, so to speak. Compared to a real human, there is no limit to the range of sound, and there is no limit to the detailed rhythm. In other words, Vocaloid producers can create masterpieces that would be difficult for humans to sing. Composers do not need to consider the limitations of the human organism. The composer of this song, Pinocchio-P, also wrote an original for Ado called "I'm a Controversy." The vocals are almost as bonkers as this cover, and the music video is super weird in the most charming way possible. If you get the chance, you should also check out some more of his works with Vocaloid! My personal favourites are Common World Domination, Ghosts Play To The Audience, Nobody Makes Sense, and I'm Glad You're Evil Too - and fair warning, this last one might make you cry. It's a ballad with a VERY different vibe from God-ish (but it still has some unmistakably Pinocchio-P elements) and it's GORGEOUS
