Fun fact The creator of the game, Daisuke Ishiwatari, who is also the music composer and writer, has stated that Necessary Discrepancy is his favorite song and it's the main theme of the game for him

Someone's probably mentioned this before but the man vocals are by Naoki Hashimoto, forntman for japanese thrash metal band, Outrage. So if you like his voice you might enjoy that too. I do highly reccomend giving them a listen sometime. :)

If you ever want to learn about the Lore of Guilty Gear, I'll recommend you these options: - The Guilty Gear videos of Staiven whcih are more like the abridged or shorten version of the story, the first is about the main protagonist surrounding Sol and Ky, the second is about the other characters, I also recommend the Power Tier List that he made because it would be fun to see your reaction to the power of the characters. - Woolie Versus has a whole Playlist covering every part of the lore in a morw detailed way, but is 7 hours long, but does not cover Strive because Strive was being made in that moment and he wanted to update people who didn't put attention to the story.

BlazBlue is another fighting game series made by the same developers, Arc System Works, in the time that they had a complicated hold of the GG license. So interesting thing, Nagoriyuki has 2 themes. What do fight for, his normal theme, and crawl, the arcade boss theme, cause at first nago was only character who appeared as boss in arcade mode, in some dlc characters arcade mode he isn't the boss and theme still plays. But still fits best with his story

The beatifull about Ramleathel Lyirc is that She is a machine created to destroy humankind she lived in a castel that was just white and was told that humanity was evil ( dark ) after come to earth she learn to love humanity because they have flaw they love , hate , cry and laugth she understand that Discrepancy is Necessary and learn to enjoy thing as is that what at she the lyricy say the castle is breaking but in the end is just fine because that what givee meaning to life

You can tell the love for musical culture in the game the creator has based on some of the themes. Giovana of course has that Beasty Boys vibe. Happy Chaos has a Queen like grandiose true anime actual disney princess vibe, and ABA literally has a tonal recreation of Pink Floyd's The Wall motif in her song. I love all of these but personally i feel like Lewis Golddickinson is underrated with his heavy ass grunge biker bar metal theme of "that guy that gets shit done" Just leave it to Japan to be the Americans we think we are as well as any other country. Cause even when its goofy they know how to make other cultures look cracked when they show genuine effort and care. And theyre gonna make the representation hot, no matter the race or gender or god forbid weight class. The Secretary of Absolute Defense really got that world strongman orbital eighteen pack swinging around the entirety of Area 51 like a pizza sign.

Im so glad to see a part two, and to be honest most of these songs are a lot, and i mean a lot better, with context. Specifically Zato-1's, Leo's and Ram's With Zato's (Let Me Carve Your Way), its actually about him and his humanity, as theres a lot of lore over him and his puppet shadow Eddie, and in strive Zato in control of his body from my understanding, and its essentially about him battling him feeling like a void and having emotions, as the ending of it directly relates to Millia (Love The Subhuman Self girl) and how IN LORE he feels nothing except when hes around her, so hes essentially wanting to be at Millia's side, hence the title of the song Leo's song relates to him having survivor's guilt, as he's a king who fought alongside his men against the gears, and that's what the song is about, along with showing his berserker lifestyle, essentially his SG has turned him to a maniac during fights, giving his all in hopes to not live from it Ram's song is primarily about the fact she isn't a human (she is a gear, which is a whole thing) and is literally listing out emotions and saying there's no need for it, and there needs to be discrepancy of this as much as black and white, but at the end it's her coming to learn about emotions and that heart really matters Nago's is a lot harder as the song “Crawl” goes along with him, as he is the official boss character, which is why it's listed as the Boss Theme, and Gio's is kinda…. about her? She was a new character to strive and didn't have a super major role, so it's mainly about her being a secret service member
