The "nerf" was already in the comics: DC decided that the flying brick known as Captain Marvel was too much like the flying brick Superman - they were basically evenly matched. So they went for a more "Captain Sparklefingers" powerset, made him a weaker version that shoots magic lightning instead, and renamed him Shazam (the word of power he used) to make the comic title less confusing - and less prone to lawsuits with Marvel Comics. This version of Shazam could potentially be killed by Superman lasering his brain.

She goes from a cautionary tale to a lame deadpool ripoff. The whole point of her character was that she would forgive the joker no matter what and only reformed with him dead. There was an episode of BTAS where Joker brutally beat her after she captured Batman. Later on she would be lying in a hospital bed cursing Jokers name until he sends her flowers and she forgives him instantly. People under estimate the power of a cautionary tale.

Fun fact about hawkgirl: She was, for most of her history, the sidekick (and lover) of hawkman. She became more popular than him though during recent years because she was a main character in the justice league cartoon. Hawkman and hawkgirl go (almost) always together. The teacher who set up the tournament competed in the tournament, played the most overpowered character (Doomsday) and won the tournament. They gave the PSP to the 2nd place person. But nobody enjoyed the tournament.

He’s kind when nobody else is, he’s humble when he’s the strongest person on the planet and he is good but a badass too. At the end of the game, Superman is placed in a room covered with Red Solar Emitters. Radiation from a red son both weakens superman and cannot be absorbed like a yellow or blue sun. That's also why kryptonians before Krypton exploded didn't have powers, their sun Rao was a red star. Eventually Superman would be rendered powerless in the red solar prison, but the ending foreshadowed the potential for him to break out since his powers somehow still worked.

I like the entire Injustice Saga for what it's worth, but it's not the... BEST story, to say the least. It has a lot of holes, is a take on the "Justice Lords" that's less visually distinct (you'll see if you're watching Justice League Unlimited) and brought a LOT of bad tropes into the mainstream, particularly: Bat-God, Irredeemable Damian, Evil Superman, and Cruel/Seductress Wonder Woman. No kidding, Injustice WW is so different, even having a different origin story, that she's basically a different character in all but name/appearance, where everyone else can believably split off from their mainstream counterparts, WW CAN'T. If anything, her influence is the core route of why this universe is so different, not Joker's Superman plan, which you'll see if you read the Injustice comics. Ironically, despite the movie adaptation being generally kind of bad due to condescending 5-6 years worth of irl story into 1 film, it actually has WAY better depictions of Superman, Wonder Woman, & Damian, & depictions of how they would actually react in this situation.

Injustice is a good concept and execution, I like the game and it's story still. There're many gripes with characterization of characters by many (Especially people criticize how Superman and Wonder Woman are charactarizes, in case of Diana people have gripes with both good and the bad one, especially what they did with her later on in the tie-in comics), and gripes that things are done just for the shock value. So, to answer some of your questions: 1. The Demon you saw in Raven's Supermove, it's Trigon, her father. Part of Raven's backstory is that she's the daughter of the Devilish entity that had a normal human mother. And part of her drama is that she's always felt alone and wanted family, but was meant to unite with Trigon and conquer Earth as his Harbinger. But luckily for her, she found the family in TItans. 2. Hawkgirl is a bit less popular character compared to others, but her backstory is that she, along with Hawkman are reincarnations of Ancient Egyptian (?) couple that was always killed when they are committing to their love. Reincarnations have no idea of their status until they'll start getting visions that call them to each other. Vandal Savage, the character you'll see in "Justice League: Doom" animated movie, is usually that person that kills them both. How? Well, I wont spoil. 3. Harley in Injustice universe was developed beyond her typical characterization. She became Batman's ally (though Batman was quite reluctant at first, but came around), but her development started when she became friends with Green Arrow (first it started when Harley ot arrested by the Arrow and he took her to his hideout, which he called "The Arrow Cave", but Harley suggested that "The Quiver" works best thematically. To which he agreed.) Later on Green Arrow and Black Canary (his wife) became close allies with Harley until Green Arrow was killed and Black Canary was forcefully transfered to parallel Earth by Doctor Fate, where she found Green Arrow there and had a kid. 4. That Crystal Place in last two battles of the game's Story IS on Earth it's the FOrtress of Solitude, a ship that was sent from Krypton along with Clark that contained all necessary information of Clark about his origins and also acted as the "Arc" as it contained some flora and species from Krypton along with technology to sent people to "Shadow Dimension", which is almost impossibly hard to get out from without outside help. 5. Superman in the last scene was contained in the "Red Solar" prison. It is meant to replicate the energy of the Red Sun that Krypton had, which dampens Superman's powers temporarily, in high concentrations under this energy he becomes a human like other people on Earth. But unlike Kryptonite, it doesnt hurt him or slowly kills him een in high concnentrations. 6. Joker in Injustice games is voiced by the same voice actor that voiced Raiden in Mortal Kombat games since 9 up to 11. But his actual debut as Joker was actually in "Mortal Kombat vs DC" game, which preceded MK9. It's... well, let's just say it didn't aged well in almost every aspect. Also just as a small aside because of the chemical bath he went thru joker cant physically feel anything unless its super intense and like huge levels of pain or whatever. So if anything in this game hurts him especially if hes using the krypton pills will have to be insane.

Glad you're finally delving into Injustice. It's an amazing and absolutely tragic story. This is the one of the most iconic "What if Superman was evil?" type stories. I believe it all started with Superboy Prime. As far as I know he's the original "Evil Superman." Before there was Homelander and Omni Man, we had Superboy Prime. But to be honest, his story is very complicated and spans too many comics. Injustice is much more self contained and easier to go through.

I'm going to be honest and say that personally I'm not the biggest fan of the Injustice story. Even though I'm fully aware that this takes place in a different universe I still feel like it made a big impact for the wrong reasons making people believe that Superman is more interesting when he's evil which as a huge Superman fan myself I completely disagree. Superman is my favourite superhero and if anything he's one of the most human and relatable superheroes since he's not a god or a destined to become a tyrant, hes just a simple, caring farm boy from Kansas who has the powers of a god yet chooses to be kind, gentle and humble, using his powers for good and helping others when he could so easily become just like his Injustice counterpart. Superman as a character saved me during a very dark time in my life and if anything I owe the character my life even if hes not real, he's real to me

I don’t know much about Superman myself but from what I saw here I like it when he’s a hero. When they brought the good Superman to the alternate Earth towards the end I was instantly intrigued. I love his caring attitude and the way he interacts with the other heroes. It’s gentle.

Superman was always made to be a champion of the people and the oppressed even when it came to abusive spouses or greedy landlords and nowadays he's fighting alien dictators and saving the universe, yet he never forgets to remain human and always help the people that matter most, save a cat out a tree, have a stable job, meet his parents, raise his kids, be the best husband he can be and make sure to tell a suicidal kid that everything's going to be okay and that people love them. Kryptonite (in various colours), magic (bypasses his superhuman durability), and red sun radiation which neutralizes his powers. (Krypton had a red sun, earth has a yellow sun that gives him powers, blue sun's make him even stronger)

For the longest time i pretty much hated superman, when i went back and watched the 90s superman and justice league cartoons, i fell in love with the character, it made me sad that so many stories make him so boring, if you want to see my favorite superman story, watch the justice league unlimited episode "the man who has everything" it is a much improved version of a comic by the same name

Batman isn’t supposed to be smart like this, it was a dumb change they made to his character to make it more believable for him to survive against powerful enemies in a world filled with Gods, Aliens and meta humans as a regular human. Batman started out as just a detective with martial arts mastery, he also used to use guns and kill his enemies until something gave him the idea to stop and let the law handle their consequences
