Mr mxzptlk (the guy who impersonated the Spectre in this one) is a superman villain that has the ability to bend reality according to his will. It's funny because he has so much power that he can erase darkseid from existence with just a thought. He could conquer the entire universe if he wanted to, but he just uses his powers only to pull pranks on the man of steel just because "it is fun". That's literally his whole gimmick.

This video failed to mention one plot. When Nightwing died, Superman asked Catwoman to comfort Bruce. When Selina arrived in the Batcave, she saw Alfred was moaning, while bruce kept punching a wall or something with blood all around his fists. Selina gave Bruce a hug and for the first time bruce cried in front of Selina. Such a sad moment for batman.

Superman returned but this guy became his own hero Krypto: Superman’s Dog that has powers Streaky: Supergirls Cat with powers Lor Zod: The son of General Zodd that was raised by Superman and Lois. He grew up to be a hero regardless of his true heritage. Most of these don’t matter and I probably missed a few but here’s the Superman family

Mr. Mxy is a 5th Dimensional Imp. The 5th dimension in DC being Imagination. He literally has the power of imagination allowing him to do almost anything he wants. Most of the time he's just a nuisance to Superman and isn't really a threat. But this time, he's really in it to fight. Trigon is also one of the most powerful beings in all of DC so a fight between the two has the potential to destroy the multiverse.

I truly was heartbroken when I heard the tragic news, but Benny Potter, aka Comicstorian, was a pillar of the comic book community and was a major influence for getting me into comics to begin with and making me love these rich stories full of incredible characters, and not only did he get me to appreciate comics but hundreds of thousands, even millions of others to love them too. His videos and audio narration didn't just make learning about these stories fun he truly made you feel like you were experiencing a movie and hearing how much passion and love he put into his voice in countless videos makes his passing all the more heartbreaking. Life is far too cruel and if anything we need to remember to appreciate what we have and appreciate the people who we love/who love you and spend time with them. I don't know if anyone has explained it yet, but Jimmy Olsen is superman's best friend, superboy is a teenage clone of superman with some of lex Luther's DNA, Red Robin is Tim drake aka the third robin, Zatanna is a magical superhero who's secret identity is a Vegas stage magician, the Specter is basically the wrath of God (emphasis on the capital G) in human form, Etrigan is a demon usually fused with jason blood trying to redeem both of them and he has a thing for rhyming, Mr mxypltlk is a magical imp/chaos god from the 5th dimension who loves to fuck with superman (Edit to add more he had questions about)

Dr. Fate and The Specter are two of DC's absolute DAWGS! Dr. Fate is a very powerful magic user who represents the God of Fate. In the comics, Dr. Fate once had power to rival The Presence(DC's God). The Specter is straight up the living embodiment of The Presence's wrath and vengeance. Yeah, once we got to the magic users, some real heavy hitters started to get involved. R.I.P Benny. RIP Benny, he was one of my main sources for comic book stuff, finding out about his passing hit hard. In terms of other injustice comics, there's Year Zero, which is a prequel to the comics, Year 6/Ground Zero, which covers the events of the game, Injustice 2, which covers the events between Injustice 1 & 2, and Injustice vs Masters of the Universe, which is a He-Man crossover sequel taking olace after the Superman ending in Injustice 2. There's also the Injustice animated movie, which is a different universe that follows similar events, but is its own take of things with... its own ups and downs. XD Superboy is a clone of Superman & Lex Luthor, basically their son? XD He was created after Doomsday seemingly killed Superman as a way for Lex to replace him.

They have this deal in which he makes all the chaos he wants until Superman tricks him to say his own name backwards, if he does, Mxys will transform everything back to normal, go back to his dimension and come back every 3 months, it is a lot of fun and I really like that he doesn't use his powers to take over, he could easily snap his fingers and destroy Superman with a single thought, but he's not interested in that at all, he just wanna have the time of his life. P.S: You heard of Bat-Mite in the full history of Batman video, and he's also from the same dimension as Mr. Mxyzptlk.

It’s never directly confirmed, but it’s heavily implied that Superman let Victor Zsasz out of prison to execute Alfred simply for not falling in line. Despite everything, Superman has done in this universe somehow this is one of the most horrific. He was just a kind old man standing up for his Son, Bruce.

Talking about the video, kind of wild that your first approach to Superman is Injustice. The writer (Tom Taylor) did try to give depth to the story, since the approach in the game was just "Superman goes bad", so he offered justification in the comic. I would recommend "Kindom Come" to see a different approach of "what happens when Superman loses hope" (spoilers: he doesn't rule the Earth).

Couple of things I gotta say about this comic series. But first I will answer your question about Superboy. - Superboy is a clone of Superman, created by ARGUS (I think) from Superman's blood. But due to it's contamination or too little amounts of it, the sponsor of this project donated his blood - Lex Luthor. So yeah, Superboy technically has Clark and Lex as fathers. So, no things about the comics and it's place in the timeline of Injustice: - The Arkham scene was retconned in Injustice 2. Instead of that fight from the comic, it was replaced with Damien killing Zsasz in the prison after Batman fought with Superman. - Scarecrow was shown to be dead in this comic, yet he was alive and well in Injustice 2. Another retcon made by the game. I might've forgot other things from the comic that was different, but with the rest, Injustice 2 mentioned events from the comics quite accurately. But this is when I learned that tie-in comics to a franchise are considered as secondary in canon and WILL be retconned if they will limit writers of wider media too hard.

I love INJUSTICE but something you need to understand is that the characters of Batman and basically every superhero on Superman's side aren't really themselves. INJUSTICE comics have phenomenal story telling with great character work INJUSTICE comics' storylines are fundamentally impossible without character assassinations (complete misunderstandings of characters and/or disregarding of their traits) just know that the INJUSTICE version of a character should not be your definitive take on a character. the characters they have are great but are not like the characters in other continuities. Some characters are good at representing the already existing versions of themselves like Green Arrow, Jim Gordon, and Nightwing but characters like Superman, Wonder Woman and Hal are completely different character compared to their main continuity counterparts. INJUSTICE 2 introduces characters that are more accurate to themselves, but you know continues with there already establish versions of their characters too obviously

Crazy how weak they made Darkseid in injustice. A young adult Darkseid beat WW and Zeus at the same time just so he could steal their godly powers to restore himself to full strength. In injustice Zeus is around the same strength being able to slap away Superman but Darkseid is now slightly weaker than Superman? I know it's just his avatar but that's still pretty weak. To that point, is Lobo just actually dead because that doesn't make any sense either; especially if they only just cut off his head. Lobo has a better healing factor than deadpool and the strength of a Kryptonian; probably even stronger. If there is a contract on Superman eventually it will get fulfilled unless he gets talked out of it.
