Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. When you react to Bohemian Rhapsody take notice during her performance they highlight audience members in the front row. That is Angelina's Family. From left to right Her uncle and manager Michael Astar, her little sister Juliette, her mother Sarah Astar and her grandmother Mery Zamani. Notice her little sister crossing her fingers as the performance starts and later her mother wipe tears from her eyes. Also remember she said she had waited 10 years to sing for Simon. When she was 3 years old she was begging her mother to go on 'that Simon show'. ♥👣👸🏻🎷

You are not the first to compare her to M.J. The legendary Quincy Jones, (28 grammys won from 80 nominations!) who also produced 3 of M.J's albums: Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), and Bad (1987)- called her "the most talanted singer since Michael Jackson". Michael is a pop star - Angelina is very versatile but first and foremost a jazz artist - so hard to compare. But I get your point and I can't agree more about her ability to convey emotion to audiences, and she's always been excellent at it from a very young age. Alesha said: “Jeg elsker deg”, spoken like “jay elsk-er dei” = I love you, hence the answer “Oh I thank you, I love you too”. About her ability to make a song her own: I don't think it's a gift. It's the result of hard work. When Angelina was very young (1st grade), she began attending a music school, studying piano and music theory. She learned to strip a song down to its essence and reconstruct it in a way that suited her own vocal ability and personal style. Also how to arrange a vocal performance. This is an often underestimated point and we cannot thank her teachers at the time enough for it.

You are right to say that her vocals are better than those of MJ. Because it's absolutely true. That doesn't diminish in anyway the genius of MJ. But her versatility, the depht, the palette of colours is unmatched. She is already one of the greatest, and in time she could well be the greatest of all time.
