As a member of The Warning Army, I would really appreciate you checking out some more of their songs. They are three sisters, aged 19, 22 and 25, from Monterrey, Mexico. They have been together for over ten years, having had a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman go viral in 2014 (over twenty million views). They write and play most of their music in English, but also have several standouts performed in Spanish. Others are already recommending their The Warning favorites, so I won't bother with a specific one. They're all good!

I found BM thru a playlist that Pau the Drummer keepa online. These are my two favorite bands, both have a great beginning stories and are just great human beings, "The Real DEAL". Both have been a band since 2013, both have grown to become great musicians and singer songwritters❤❤❤❤❤ been waiting for this collaboration since they physically met in 22' at afershock festival and you could see the admiration they jad for each other. The warning are actually bigger around the world and with higher Spotify numbers than band maid, even though they are much younger and just a family band from Mexico. They are the most driven, independent band that has existed for decades. Obviously I’m not talking about skills etc… I’m talking about them as people. You get to know them… they are the next big thing in rock music. Of course band maid are huge and amazing… but the warning are actually getting bigger very suddenly right now.

Well that and getting a jump start from jumping to You Tube cover of Enter Sandman that led to a shot on the Ellen Degenres show 11 years ago. Her show gifted then10k each for the summer session at Berklee School of Music in Boston and THEN they were added to the video game that got them all started. Yongest member is 19-20 and the first LP came out when she was 9-10 just watching them grow up has been a blast.

Band Maid has worked as hard or harder doing in 2019 over 100 shows. They also have been together 10 years. The Warning is bigger for several reasons. They sing in English and have a simple straightforward sound. BM sings 99% of their songs in Japanese and their sound is much more complex. The Warning has had exposure on major US tv shows, BM has not. Bye the way I have many many The Warning songs on my playlist now right next to BM.

@@albertcornett7408 Warning got their start whenthe bass player was like 9 just posting covers on You tube and doing shows for their school The first break was Ellen flyingthem up from Monterey to do her show and then giving them scholarships to the Berklee School of Music Boston's summer session. The Maids had a different track true. Fun thing is Warning has been heavily crowd funded (see Rolling Quartz from Korea for a different version of that. Also check out DIH and Walking After U also from Korea for women that rock.

Never expected them to have 2 bass players and 2 drummers for this collaboration. Not knowing Band Maid's flexibility on instruments I figured that The Warning's bassist would move to keys and The Warning's drummer would step out and sing lead vocals with Band Maid's lead singer. But they made it work with everyone on their primary instruments. Curious whether either band will play this live on their own.

Great collaboration! A little bit of both band's style. Both bands are awesome. As a Maidiac, I do love The Warning's music. You really should check them out. Many Maidiac like The Warning and many of The Warning Army (TWA) like Band-Maid. The ladies were fans of each other before they met. In 2022, both bands were at "Aftershock" in CA, and happen to meet. That's where this all started. From social media post, they looked to have a great time together in Japan, where The Warning and Band-Maid had a concert together. This show was also where they played this song for the first time live. Based on the PRS interview with Dani and Kanami, there's more to come. 👏👏👏 Can't wait. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

I would fully recommend checking out more from The Warning such as Hell you Call a Dream which really showcases Dany vocals. In fact, Pau, the drummer, was voted the best rock drummer 2023 in the Drumeo awards last year. I am not stating this as a competition between the bands, as I know BM drummer is bad ass too, just some info that I hope you will appreciate if you dive into The Warning. Pau, will play drums whilst simultaneously taking lead vocals on occasions. Check out Dust to Dust live at Teatro Metropolitan theatre from August 2022. Other songs to react to if you wish are Choke, Hell you call a dream, Automatic Sun, SHARKS, to just name a few. You know how Miku-chan sings a song per album. In The Warning's case, it's their drummer Paulina. She sings 1 or 2 songs per album. And The Warning's bassist, Alejandra, sings backup mostly but will sing lead occasionally when Daniela, the lead vocalist/guitarist can't sing because of illness.

Miku sings lead vocals on about 2 songs on the album. But she sings on every song, she's just not always distinguished from Saiki. She doesn't have that power of a voice, but she has a really big range.

It’s a great collaboration because both bands appreciate each other both for the things they have in common, and for those they different. So they are able to strike a balance between the two sounds. But you could do worse than checking out a few live performances of The Warning, like their concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022, to get a picture of what the power trio are capable of (and already were capable of, when the bassist was but 17 years old).

I am not very familiar with Band Maid and I am sure The Warning has taken some cues from them, but it is very gratifying to see some small details that The Warning has inspired Band Maid for example some guitar slides and for sure ending on a powerful base that is something of The Warning's trade marks

Both singers struggle with the high notes and would sound better a half step down. However, Kanami is never wrong. The song needs to be in this key, and it's up to the singers to make it as intended. They might sound strained, but it actually gives a nerve to the song with its message. Too polished and it would not make the same impact. You have to agree with Mincho after you heard it a few times.
