Before them, Kpop idols were seen in a different light. Now you can see BIGBANG’s impact in the Kpop industry because a lot of Kpop groups are taking part of their music production. BIGBANG held arena concerts in the USA back in 2013 and 2015. They were able to enter Billboard charts with a full korean album making them the first Kpop group to achieve that without any promotion in the USA. DT, thanks for making my day! Your reaction to this was so relatable and enjoyable to watch. Big Bang has been around for a while and they are not active in this particular constellation (5 OG members) anymore. There were some really bad scandals and actual criminal activity one of their members, Seungri, was involved in and then they entered the military as all Korean men do. But still, even though their future is unclear at the moment, they were, in my humble opinion, the original Kpop stars that made an impact in the west. And I love BTS and call myself Army, but what big bang achieved during their career in the west was really outstanding at the time! I loved T.O.P. when I was younger. Big Bang debuted in 2006 and were the first hip-hop group in Kpop. They were the first to write and produce their own music and changed pretty much every aspect of Kpop to what you see today. They were the first to venture out of the cutsie bubble gum pop kinda esthetic. They are known as the Bad Boys and Kings of Kpop. They all had their own personality and sound. They were the first to bring a underground rapper into a group (T.O.P.). They changed the game for Kpop, they started out more hip-hop and R&B sounding but they have proven they can do it all.. They often have really sad songs with upbeat tempoes that someone said one time that Big Bang couldn't make a proper Balled even though they have some slow songs in their early releases.. Then G Dragon (the leader, the one with the red hair in this video) wrote the song 'If You' and blew people away.. He can write and produce any kind of song.. He is the idol of other idols and has even collaborated with Flo Rida, Missy Elliott, Skillrex and Diplo. BTS are huge fans of Big Bang and In their guides they even sing to some Big Bang songs. They are the only group to all have successful solo careers. T.O.P. ( rapper with the cowboy hat and in the astronaut suit) is the only one not to have a tour by himself. They made what YGE is today, at the time when they were starting out YGE was not one of the Big Three companies. They lived and cleaned where they trained and practiced, with barely any food sometimes even to the point where they ate once a day and one would give up his meal so the younger ones could eat. Thay proved with hard work, talent, and dedication that they are the Kings. They were called short and ugly and that they would go nowhere when they first started out. They proved everyone wrong. There was point where they were working so hard that they fell ill from exhaustion and had to go on hiatus because they were working so hard and couldn't keep up. They are the Kings of live performance and nobody matches up to them. They give each and every performance their all even sometimes to there detriment, sometimes getting hurt but still continuing with the show for the fans and ending up getting taken to the hospital after words. Papa YG has always said that Big Bang made YGE what it is today and not the other way around. In G Dragon's solo song 'One Of A Kind' he says my music builds buildings and well, he is right. They account for 50% of YGE sales. They are the Kings of Kpop. They have broken so many records and have shattered their own even. This is the power of Big Bang Records are meant to be broken but nobody can’t take the title of Legends from them because their impact is huge.

So a bit of background. First, BB are the KINGS OF KPOP. They have been aound for 15 years. They were just discharged from the military and are working on their cb. Second, BB has 2 of the best rappers in kpop, even BTS look up to GDragon and TOP. Third, BB are not your normal kpop group. They are not known for dancing.
