Hi. Great to see all of these reactions to Courtney Hadwin. 'Monsters' is magnificent. A true rock anthem. As you already know, no other voice in music like Courtney's. Her rasp and growl are incredible, and her range and vocal control are outstanding. Courtney often migrates between multiple styles within a single song, and her transitions are always smooth and exquisite. In 'Monsters', not only are the vocals sensational, but the lyrics are brilliant as well. A true testament to Courtney's prowess as a songwriter. She never writes fluff lyrics like many artists do. Anything, whether it makes sense or not, just to fit the music. The lyrics to Courtney's songs always have so much depth and meaning to them. She has said that the 'Monsters' in this song refers to the insecurities and self doubts that we all have, so, the meaning of the song is almost universally relatable. I liked the way Courtney took what could be a very heavy topic, but infused it with a level of optimism. A brilliant song and performance in so many ways. It made the Billboard Hard Rock Digital Sales list, entering at number 19, and was voted Coolest Song In The World for 2023 by the listeners of Little Steven's Underground Garage on Siriusxm, a popular channel run by Little Stevie Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. Even though That Girl Don't Live Here was Courtney's most popular song on most major platforms last year, Monsters was a breakout hit in these two special ways, and along with Christmas Rocks, established her as a force to be reckoned with in the future of good hard rock'n'roll.
