The best comment from a Dear under the first video: „If you are having a bad day, remember, someone had to sing after him.“ 🤣 That one moment when a vblogger first hear Dimash and is instantly mesmerized by it... priceless and beautiful to watch. I love it!This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZbin ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Dimash did the song from The Fifth Element multiple times. Search for Diva Dance Bastau and Diva Dance Drunken Concubine, these are the two best versions. You can react to both versions in one reaction video because the Bastau version is so short. But the precision of all the staccato notes is stupendous. Most voice teachers now use Dimash as the standard t achieve, his octave rang is 7 octaves & several semitones, he sings Pop, Classical Opera, R& B, his country Ballads, from Kazakhstan he& he also raps. His favorite artist was Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Celine Dione& several he likes all types of music, he doesn't stick to one genre. He pays 6-7 different instruments. You open his heart & you see he bleeds music. He a musica Magician. go to his subscribe to his YT website & pick any tune, you will be pleased two of his latest is Ave Maria written especially for him & Stranger, His Accompanist Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to compose & play for him. Yep, listen to him sing the Fifth Element song 'Diva Dance' if you can. In Fact, listen to EVERY song (12 of them) from this Chinese Talent show. He had NO chance of winning against seasoned professionals ... Until he opened his mouth. This contest was his inroduction to the rest of the world. His voice range is about 7 octaves and he sings in 12/13 languages and speaks in about 6 or 7. He's been singing since age 5.

Dimashes best performance of Diva Dance is when he performed with Li Yugang at a festival of some kind. Just look up Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance ( Dimash does his growl and a whistle note in this performance.) This SOS was performed at a completion called The Singer. Dimash sings in multiple languages, so you'll have to check for English subtitles with his videos. Opera 2, Adagio, Hello are 3 more songs you need to check out from that competition. Sinful passion by A'Studio is another great song which is a live performance. Your Love- Moscow is a must see as well. Screaming- The Official M V is great.
